The 85 mm gun is good enough to wreak havoc on the reds. Get it then improve your mobility.

You should then get the best engine, the best track to improve your mobility.

Get the turret and the last gun last.

Platoon with someone who has a good tank in tier 6 to help you through the grind.  Return the favor.

All about the angles, side scrape everywhere, and you will be fine get top gun asap. Most people laugh at a stock t150.

Recently re-bought this to ace it.  I don't know if it received a nerf,  but even with the top gun it is a distinctly unsatisfying tank. Far more so than when I first ground through it several months ago.

I just rebought mine and am struggling. Had a few games with zero damage where I over extended into firing lines. Still need top engine to help me get out of danger quicker. Am determined to at least get average stats out of it,and hoping it improves once I get 100% crew. Outside of the KV-1S (which I should have stuck with instead of retrying the 150), tier 6 has not been good for me!

I am grinding it right now. Maxed. I hate it. Slow and armor is useless.and  that 107 is kinda boring to compare it with 120mm on kvis

Tier X: E100, Jadgpanzer E100, E50M, T110E5, T110E3, IS7, Object 268

Tier IX: E 75, E 50, M 103, IS 8, Jagdtiger, Object 704T95

Premium Tank: Tankenstein, Jadgpanther

If the T-150's armor is "useless" at tier VI then you are doing something horribly wrong.  Angle and side scrape for the win. The T-150's armor can compete with anything it's own tier and even some tier VII.

When grinding, tracks first. Not all the way up, go tracks > engine > tracks II > engine II  - like that.

It is a great tank, and while it is not the best in terms of armor thickness, it is very competitive and works well angled. It has a narrow turret with a great gun mantlet. Protect that lower frontal plate and you can do extremely well. Only the British heavies sport substantially more armor and they have their own weak spots.

If you are not liking the T-150 then you probably don't want to keep going down this line. The KV-3 and up right to the IS-4 play roughly the same.

I got several Ace badges while grinding the modules on that tank using the 57 mm gun.  It cost a lot as you need Prammo to pen, but if you don't mind that, it's a pretty good gun.  It fires fast, and has the capability of perma-tracking...

This tank will require knowledge of side scraping and angling, but it is a solid tank.  I did not use the 122 mm gun.

Hope that helps.

Today I went to the bathroom and forgot my phone.

I love my T-150, once I'm done with the IS-4 line I'm buying it back. It has such a good gun (same one as the KV-5) and really good armor potential. Mobility isn't that great, but it's definitely workable. I personally got the turret and 107mm upgraded first, and then the engines, and then the tracks.

I remember watching a reverse-side-scraping video from Jingles and trying it out with this tank. It really teaches you how to play the IS-4 line. Got called a hacker by a guy so I asked him why and he said something roughly along the lines of "you were exposing the side and rear of your tank but I still couldn't pen!"
