I have enough free XP to fully upgrade my currently bare bones brand new M103, or get a 110E5. If I fully upgrade the 103, then I would have to grind my way to the 110E5. Any thoughts on which tank is more fun to play at their respective tier levels?

For tier X tanks, I already have the OBJ140, T62 and IS7. So I'm not necessarily dying to get another tier X tank. Although, it would be cool to explore the different styles of tactics for the IS7 vs 110E5.

Thanks for the input.

The M103 is a tank that should not be free XP'd through. Its the funnest tier 9 heavy offered. Free Xp the modules instead! The M103 is tier for tier very over powered if played correctly as its gun is just amazing! the armor can also stand long enough!

I would fully upgrade the M103 first, because from what I can tell, M103 and E5 have really similar playstyles. Plus the M103 is fun

Yeah dude, fully upgrade that bad boy and blow stuff up 'Murican style. The 103 is a monster and so much fun to play.  If you have that tank down you will excel with the E5. Both of them are my best tanks per tier.

Does the M103 play easier than the IS8? Although I eventually did "ok" on the IS8, I hated every moment of it. Was so happy to sell the IS8 to get the IS7.

I'm an E5 owner who maxed the M103, sold it gleefully as I felt it under armoured, then came back to it when I needed a tier 9 for platooning. It deserves to be maxed; it's a bit more nimble than the E5 and is a hoot to play. It's a keeper in the long run :)

Tanks:  _X: T110E5, T110E3, FV215b(183), IS-7, Obj.140  _IX: M103, T-54  _VIII: IS-6, T34, Lowe, T-44, IS-6, IS-3D  _VII: T-43, Comet, E25, AT-15A, SU-122-44
Usually on in the evenings Pacific time.  Intake Contact for Triarii Clan (PM for details)

The M103 is the worst tank I've ever played.

The fully upgraded M103 is quite enjoyable to play with. It plays very similarly to the T110E5, so grinding through the M103 will also prepare you well for the E5.

Definitely max the M103 it's becoming my security blanket. E5 is giving me fits so getting ready to scrap it. 103 is better scrapper than Is8 IMO, but then again I'm just avg joe.

The E75 is way better and is the funniest tier IX. However I terms of OP'ness, the E75 is pretty OP.

M103 is awesome, i like it better then E5 cuz it has no turret weakspot like the E5 has in top.

I find America Heavies better than the Germans actually. Shorter reload, smaller lower plate, and a better chance of bouncing a shell. E5vsE100=E5 for me

Actually if you aim at the back top hatch of the m103, you will hit it. But I sort of agree. It's a smaller hatch and in the back, so more chance to miss.

I have an Ms-1

Play the 103.  It will acclimate you to the play style of the e5.  The 103 is actually quite a fantastic tank, it was my first tier nine and I sold it for space but kind of want to buy it back and give it a whirl now that I know what I'm doing.

RM103 is a keeper. If you don't max it right away, come back to it later, but definitely max it out.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like I will be spending some time playing the 103 before moving on to the 100E5.

The armor can't stand long enough when an IS-6 can penetrate you're lower plate with AP.

"Better chance of bouncing a shell" and any American tank shouldn't be in the same sentence. Anyways, the T-54 with the D10 gun shooting AP can pen the lower plate of an E5. It can't penetrate the lower plate of an E-100.

Did you ever hear of hull down ? That's how all American tanks are played.
