Excellent work WG! So happy to see an actual test coming. I'm honestly not sure what I'll think of it, but since we are actually testing it, I'll know soon! Obviously some tanks might be blatantly op now, but if we do decide it's a good change, there's always 2.6. In the meantime, wr farming!

Wow this is pretty interesting. Although i didnt mind being low tier once in a while.  But it wasent once in a while some times. With game after game of being the low tier in the match.
And the player base is often at 12-13k players when that happens.
I will enjoy a break. Thats for sure.

Id suggest a timer. If the wait becomes too much. Then dump players back in a quick match. That dont have the pref match making.  I can wait 30 seconds to 1 min for a fair match.

Allow me to be the first.

 

  1. Pref tanks lost one tier down in MM. They see 1/2 as many tanks weaker than them.
  2. Normal tanks lost one tier up and one tier down. They see 1/2 as many tanks stronger than them and 1/2 as many tanks weaker than them.

 

All pref tanks just receive a 25% nerf due to match making changes. (at least!)

i play pc a lot, queue times are fine at high tiers

Im exited fir +1-1 but kinda late as im past tier 6 which was my +2 death tier. But to me its welcome but +2 was indeed challenging but i hated the odds they gave us like how enemy gets +1 tier X and we have three tier VIIIs. +1 will help me in my tier8s thats for sure

Since the only remaining tank line I have left to grind is the Japanese and I'm currently working on the Chi-To, this is exciting news!  Can't wait to see how this plays out.

I like the idea but maybe just tiers 8 and up? Idk but I love wrecking tier 8 in victory and tier 9 in comet. I'm sure it's a welcome change. Lower tier grinds up to tier 6 are a breeze until you get a stock German tier 6. Then its mm hate me. 

 

I'm all for trying new things in game. Hopefully it's a skill filter without having to actually make battle count a filter. I see pros and cons but without actually playing like that yet I'm just brainstorming and have high hopes it works out

 

Oh and pref mm tanks? So limit to equal tier and 1 lower? Lowe definitely needs this

And i get more xp when i'm the lowest tier so i like +2/-2

and all my pref mm will just get a nerf

My T34 may actually leave the garage now!  I've got to put oil back in it and run the sea-foam out of the engine, otherwise it'll smoke and give away my position.  I'm glad they gave us fair warning.

This is going to mess with VanPeenen's Ace Master Data! I would expect way less Aces in the week after the update (possibly more at 9/10 as the HP pool will be larger?). And then the average damage for an Ace should be lower since I think a large portion of Aces come when you are lower tier? (Bigger HP pool, more XP damaging higher tier tanks, etc...) I am going to be very curious to see how this goes.

I prefer the +2/-2 MM.   The problem comes in when looking at how many times I'm bottom tier, vs mid tier, vs. top tier over a series of games.  Being bottom tier 3-4 times in a row is a problem. That is where the imbalance is.   If WG is going to change anything it should be to adjust the MM so that over say 12 games, I'm bottom tier 4 times, mid tier 4 times, and top tier 4 times.

Thank you, thank you, thank you WG for being open-minded enough to run this test.

 

I think it will bring more enjoyment to the majority of players. To those in tier 10... all you have to do is carry harder.
