So has the counter officially started? It says 9 pm pst. I figured a new news would pop up saying let the fun begin.

Players pick a Team to represent and then play on a tank or tanks to compete for points. If a player is among the top performers on a tank on the winning team then they will receive a prize!
09:00 is AM. PM would be 21:00

I haven't seen nor heard of an official tracker. I merely opened a spreadsheet. Listed the tanks that I was going to be competing in. Entered their current battle count at commencement. At days end I update my new battle count to check my own progress.
Besides tracking my way to the 50 battle mark I don't track any other stat.
We've never been given an official answer on whether it's based on average battle or raw sum at the end. Based on the few examples they've offered like T34s destroy X and IS6 destroys Y then... there's never a mention as to dividing that number by total battles played to get to the average... I would say playing more will help more

Because I wrote down how many battles I completed now and at the start of the contest, I think I've played over 50 battles in both the M4 and T29, hedging my bets on the "teams". I have two questions:
1. How do I know the wotblitz folks know I qualified?
2. Is there any benefit to playing beyond 50 battles? E.g., for the M4 it's distance, so do I keep racking up distance? Or is it averaged? Or best 50? I couldn't see an answer on this thread.

1. I tell the data guys to pull data only for people who have played 50 or more battles in that tank during the event.
2. Yes - if you play more then you will get more distance in the M4. So it is beneficial.
