For the individual performance part of the contest, the only metric you are looking at from the players is the specified data that tank is entered in?

Example:  I pick up an M4, and proceed to yolo cruise around the map while my team utterly fails, but I have a solid 7 minutes of running in every battle.  I rinse and repeat as many times as I can.  Even though my teams are suffering, I win the reward tank?

That seems a bit...  well...  weak, but okay.

Hey, the accuracy contest is exploitable too. Shoot once, get a hit (100% hit rate, baby!), never shoot again, for 50 battles.

Please pick your powerball lottery numbers...

What are the chances somebody hits the jackpot?

At least you don't have to have every line item correct ;)

Will the accuracy contest take into consideration shot count?

For instance:

P1: 51 battles, 99% hit rate after 100 shots.
P2: 51 battles, 100% hit rate after 1 shot.

Who wins?

Player 1.

The point of these contests and events is to encourage people to play and play well. While there may not be a direct "Everything is judged by X and Y" that is black and white, think back to some contests where I have not revealed extra prizes or have just rewarded those who did well and followed the theme of the event. If someone tries to abuse it - chances are it will backfire. For the sake of being able to do that I may or may not be revealing all the details on how winners are chosen. Suffice it to say that if you play without the intention of abusing the system you will be fine.

That actually makes sense. And nice to see that the spirit of the contest is the determining factor.

Thank you!

Are those 50 games - 50 games TOTAL on the tank or 50 games DURING the contest period?

where are the teams?

also, who can be on the teams?

And, what does a team consist of?

Can we be in platoons for this event?

If a M4A3E8 Sherman tracks a tank and a SU-100 hits it, do both players earn points even though they're on opposite teams?

How many of these tanks can we play?

How will you rank the predictions?

If the Red team has 78 points and the green team has 60 points, and I successfully predict it but someone else predicts it as well, who do the rewards go to?

If we perform in the top 53 of the losing team, will we get any rewards?

During the event period on each tank you wish to qualify for.

Most of your questions are answered by clicking the link to the rules and details page

As far as the prediction thing goes - it is either you guess right and get a war chest or you guess wrong and get nothing. If multiple people guess right - multiple war chests are rewarded.

Only 1. You will need to play 50 battles in each tank you wish to qualify for though. That could be 1 on Team Green Team and 2 on Team Red Team.

I don't understand what these teams are. Are they the best player for each of the tanks shown, put on red and green teams?

I was wondering if when we guess what team wins do we need to get the score EXACTLY right?

for a random example I guess team A gets 17 points and team B gets 5 points, so I guess team A wins and the scores end up 18 for team A and 4 points for team B, I still guessed team A but I don't have the scores EXACTLY right, will I still get the prize for guessing the right team but not score?

I think you have to get the score exactly.  At least that's how it usually works IRL.

So wait, I'm confused on how to score what I think will happen.  Do I do it in a category by category basis and sum them up?  As in:

55/45 = 5 points for green 2 red

52/48 = 2 points for green 1 red

46/54 = 2 points for green 4 red

Then at the end 5+2+2 = 9 points green and 2+1+4 = 6 points red for final score (9green 6 red).

Is that how I should be scoring it, or am I missing something?

Edit, if I'm wrong, man I need to see more of a fleshed out example, cause what you're asking for has many possible ways to get to it.

For clarity's sake, is the metric for each tank's score averaged or total (ie, 200 players use tank A and 5 players use tank B - is tank B's case hopeless or are the results averaged to give tank B a chance vs. huger numbers?)

And can we assume that like the T34/Independence, the Fury will not count towards Easy 8 stats?

We can be on both teams?

And is there a limit to how many tanks you can play on each team?

So the worse the losing vehicle does in a particular position, the more points they get?

From the FAQ:

"losing vehicle will get half of the difference between their final value and 50%, rounded down"

Using the example given for the losing vehicle scoring 45%, winning vehicle 55%:

Losing Vehicle score: 50%-45% = 5% /2 = 2.5% rounded down to 2 points

Now say the losing vehicle only scored 30%, whereas the winning vehicle scored 70%:

Losing vehicle score: 50%-30% = 20% /2 = 10%, or 10 points.

Catch my drift? Am I missing something?

Basically yes. It was the most simple way to measure aside a flat 1 or 0. If I made things numerical ties would occur more often than not and by making them directly scale with the other tanks they are facing off of. While in that example they would get 10 points that also meas there is a 10 point gap that needs to be overcome in order to break even.
