During the event period on each tank you wish to qualify for.
Most of your questions are answered by clicking the link to the rules and details page.
As far as the prediction thing goes - it is either you guess right and get a war chest or you guess wrong and get nothing. If multiple people guess right - multiple war chests are rewarded.
But who is going to be on the teams?
There are only 14 slots available (7 per team)
There are more people on this thread than the amount of people that can be on a team, let alone the whole forum or even the whole playerbase!
How will we decide who gets to be on the teams?

This isn't a bad idea. The odds of getting it right is so nigh-impossible, why waste time and effort getting a perfect answer to submit?
Put in something reasonable, move on with the rest of the contest.

Are there always this many questions Sly (just to add another) hehehe....
It seems like one of the major points that need clarification are the "teams". My understanding is that any player may chose which "team" they are on by the tank (or tanks) they decide to compete in (play 50 battles or more in the given timeframe- 1/27-2/6). Effectively, any player can compete for one or both teams in any vehicle(s) in their garage if I am correct. The catch here is that "top performer" part.... My thought is that, if one would like to compete for one of the 3 eligible "top performers", than it would be advisable to play as many battles as possible in the targeted vehicle. For instance, player A decided to compete solely in an IS-6, played 450 battles, and racked up 800 kills. Player B also chose to focus on the IS-6, played 400 battles, and blew up 750 tanks. *Player A wins, regardless of battle count, because he got 50 more kills than Player B* Am I correct?
Also, I am under the impression that all battles that meet the criteria (50 battles in the time frame with the listed tanks) will be counted toward the final BlitzBowl result, by any and all Blitz players.
T-34: 1200 players met the battle criteria, and collectively destroyed 150,000 vehicles..... 46%..... 2 points GREEN TEAM
IS-6: 1500 players met the battle criteria, and collectively destroyed 175,000 vehicles...... 54%..... 4 points RED TEAM
Please correct me if I am misunderstanding anything here...
------ AT FIRST GLANCE ------ there seems to be much opportunity for players to bend the rules and rack up certain stats, while not actually PARTICIPATING in the real game we all love.... Don't fool yourself, CC_Sly and the other good folks at WG can tell stat padding when they see it and I'm sure you will be revoked from the contest at the first inkling of foul-play. I personally would report any miscreant on my team driving circles in their M4 Sherman while leaving their team to burn...
Great work Sly, this is gonna be a BLAST!

What does the registration form mean by "positive numbers"? I filled out the form and my two numbers were waaay above zero (positive) and I kept getting that message.
Thanks

Hey sorry if this is already asked but on the info thread it says you can play multiple tanks as long as you play 50 battles in it right? Amd it says you can only win once does that mean overall or for that specific tank. Also a team can't get over 50 points for 100% contributed Right? even ough that is very very unlikely if impossible for 100%

The guess is the % difference between the two teams at the end of the week. Not per tank

The team rosters are the tanks. You play for one or both teams by driving any of the tanks. Any number pf players will be on each team (it's the tank; not the player that makes up the team)
In order to be entered to win the mystery tank you must have 50+ battles in that particular tank.
Tanks must be the tank on the roster, not any of the other variations.
The stats will be recorded by the server and will only count battles during the contest.
Thanks for this contest looks to be fun.
There are some questions that haven't been answered. Mainly how are points counted? Very important for filling in the guess form.
The KV-3 example used 1000 potential plus 500 actual damage received multiplied by a 70% survival over 10 games to arrive at 1050 survivability points. That looks like average damage values times average survival. And I think it will apply the same to the other "positions" as well.
For example Jadpanther vs AT-7
Contest duration
Jagdpanther | AT-7 | |
1200 | 1800 | # of players |
42000 | 93600 | Total Games |
96,600,000 | 187,200,000 | Total Damage |
2300 | 2000 | Average Damage |
So if it is based on average per battle then the Jag wins 53% to 47% (wins by skill) for 3 points Jag and 1 point AT-7
But if it is simple sum then AT-7 wins 66% to 34% (wins by sheer volume) for 8 points Jag and 16 points AT-7
That's a drastic difference for which team will take the lead AND for the TOTAL points that the teams could win. Assuming I had a crystal ball and knew these values to be accurate I don't know whether to guess 3 green 1 red or 8 green 16 red (of course in addition to the other positions)

Tallies are totaled during the course of the even, just like you can see the statistics on any of your tanks. Only the games played during the even will be counted. Each of the 7 positions compete against their counterpart of the other team. The tanks' individual stats are compared to the sum of both tanks of that position. They are then awarded points based on the percentage of points they earned. Then, all the scores of the 7 different positions are summed up to get the Teams final score. The team with the highest score is the winner.
In the following example Red team wins:
Percents | Points | |||
Position # | Green | Red | Green | Red |
1 | 54 | 46 | 4 | 2 |
2 | 51 | 49 | 1 | 0 |
3 | 45 | 55 | 2 | 5 |
4 | 36 | 64 | 7 | 14 |
5 | 50 | 50 | 0 | 0 |
6 | 48 | 52 | 1 | 2 |
7 | 56 | 44 | 6 | 3 |
Totals | 21 | 26 |

hmm...this is more complicated than I originally thought. when I first read it, I thought it would be like last years.
I'll have to look this over again when I'm more awake.
