all fine and good, but the new desert sands is the same, and in my opinion, better, because it is larger and affords more options. Taking away sniper locations also hurts middleburg, because it was one of the few maps left that had them.

played it 5 times and when they are in town the sniping opportunity is there for both sides. Choose approach wisely because I got wrecked trying the old peek over the top. Doesn't work here no more

This is just another map now where being a tank destroyer is at a loss.  No sniping and a lack of a defensive she'll on these is a killer.

Old Middleburg was horrible. I'm glad it's gone.

I like the map, but it is true, WG is trying to nerf TDs by making maps that force you to brawl. It makes the game faster and more interesting but it doesn't help TDs at all.

I am not crazy about it. Make it either all town or all rolling hills. As it stands you better fight in the hills or get sniped from high ground.

Hmmm, that seems familiar . . . oh, just like the old version.

Seems to me that WG is just trying to make the maps less predictable. Guys are gonna play these maps 1000s of times, so the maps need to stay fun despite the endless repetition -- not an easy task for a map designer.

I like the new version better. Gets you into the fight quicker -- no more long dull pull up the hill. On the hills, lots of bumps and ruins to dodge around. Town is more open so you can move more while fighting. The old map was too predictable, but on this one, no two battles are alike -- it's cool. Diggin' it.

I was speaking about the sniper positions overlooking the hill "corridor", itself.

The town still seems like a death trap where you get shot from all directions, kind of like the port on Port Bay.

Doesn't matter - the noobs will still go to  Noob town, as they go to Noob valley and Noob Bay.

Correct straight shoot out with my Death Star I love it because it's relatively flat and easy to fire on the enemy but lack of armor is rough every time...

All hill is by far best plan. Great sniping from town corners if red is stupid. Forget your town victories as they are bad data. Hills beats town.
