Mine was very difficult wait over a dam Itunes gift code. It took about 22 minutes of my precious time, then buy the gold, then do mission, all in 45 minutes! Inlove the tank. Needs a rof buff.

The IS-3 Defender event is in full swing. This incredible tank is on the table for free! That is, if you're tanker enough to brave the pulse-pounding battles to get there.

That is if you get it before the wallet warriors take em.

PS: Anyone else getting the "Your account had suspicious activity" or something from google? I can't spend my $50 giftcard. :(

Chronicle my journey to the IS3 Defender.

Day 1. I lost the 8 time period.  Finish the 2 stage. Now have to wait 18:00 for the next stage. Really?  Definitely not a good start.

The tale of how I got my IS-3D...

It all started on a beautiful spring day, the sun was out, and I had things to do. As I stepped outside I was reminded at how much I hated sunlight...or going outside. I went back inside, read the forums, and come to find that the IS-3D was in limited quantity! This calls for action! I readied my heart and soul for the mission I was about to embark on... With my trusty steed, err I mean wallet, I was ready for whatever WG would throw at me. As the time got closer and closer, the anticipation grew, the tension could be felt in the air. 3...2...1... The mission had began!

Me and my trusty steed analyzed the battlefield and found a small cave. as we approached that small cave we noticed a small man, a troll, guarding the cave entrance. He said to me, "I'll allow you entrance to this cave if you give me your steed..." I said, "Sure, I don't even know why I need a steed if I have a car."

As I entered the cave, the world became quiet, I heard no more battle sounds, no fighting as I had earlier. I walked a little more down the cave, I saw small blue sparks in the distance... I approached with caution. As I got closer I noticed this was some sort of huge silver beast, it seemed dangerous, so I threw a few rocks at it and hid behind cover. It did nothing. I got out of cover and decided to confront the beast, I pet it a few times.

It still did nothing. But I did start to hear a faint whir, the sound of a turbine, and the sparks became much larger, they turned into arcs. I think I had pleased the beast, I hopped on, and said, "Ride nobel beast!" It still did nothing. I looked around the top and found a hatch, I opened it, and saw a mass of flashing lights, levers, and screens. Naturally I was drawn to a huge red button, I pressed it, and BOOM! There went a huge side of the cave. I looked at a screen to my left, and saw a countdown, 7.5sec...7sec...6sec... Hmm, the red button didn't seem to work. I waited, and then at the end of the countdown, I heard a huge *clunk* I pressed the red button, and BOOM! I had formed almost a new cave.

I I knew this machine would be my answer to winning the fight outside, I stayed with the beast many nights, learning how to tame it. At long last I was ready to go to the outside. I set my beast in forward motion, and slowly made my way back to the entrance. The entrance was very small, much smaller than I remember, but no matter, my beast can solve this problem! BOOM! A nice size exit for me and my beast. But as I exited the cave, I knew my fight had only begun...

Stage 1: raped by tiers X. After a 6 loss streak finally completed the mission.

Stage 2: raped by tiers 8. After a long loss streak finally completed the mission.

Stage 3: raped by tier X and 8. After a damn long loss streak finally came to realization that I couldn't complete the missions. Seriously?  3 missions that require getting a mastery at tier X and the other 2 getting a mastery on tiers 8 and 9 respectively?

This journey has been long and arduous. I've been to hell and back, uphill both ways. It's been the best of times and the worst of times, the time of plagiarized Charles Dickens quotes and of gentle sobbing shrieks of agony.

It began in the winter of '43. The great war was in full swing. The ol' furher had decided it was a good idea to take a shot at the Ruskies. Never saw the point of that plan personally, but they say he was pretty much mad by then. Reports among the troops rumored that he had a new general executed every day, Darth Vader style. Honestly, I think it was the Star Wars references that kept us going that winter. The only reason we even had the willpower to burn down our barns and crops and starve the Nazis all the way to Moscograd was because of the constant Hoth jokes. Many a soldier had his willpower stirred by his loyal comrade spitting out a couple "pew pew pew" sound effects, maybe purposely missing some shots, throwing in the occasional Wilhelm scream.

But that's not the order of business. We're here to talk about how I collected my IS-3 Defender. The war was in full swing, as I already mentioned. The Russian troops were rolling eastward, leaving a desolate trail of nothing for the Germans to try to survive. They were pretty weak once they got to Petrograd, or St. Petersburg, as many would know it. My good comrade Joseph and I were looking for a place to stay the night, as reports suggested that the enemy would be arriving later the next day. I honestly don't remember how I ended up  in the tank, I just remember vodka and a card game. But the next thing I knew, I woke up in one of those IS-3 tanks.

Actually, all of this was made up. I'm just doing the missions as they come, and clenching my buns hoping there's a tank or two left when i'm finished. What, you really thought we made Star Wars references in the Russian army in WWII? Nah, bro. We were all star trek fans back then. Everyone hated George Lucas.

I'm actually working rather hard with my own method to get it. I have so far completed every stage within one mission cycle and am finishing up stage 5 tonight. My plan now is to skip only the 130k mission set for the daytime tomorrow, grind out the 180k that night, and slowly plug away at the 200k

I use gold to only skip the missions for 10k credits after I complete them

I was playing my jg. Pz. E100 and pushing mid on copper field I spotted a vk b, IS-7, and OBJ 704. My team killed the vk and I shot at IS-7 and ammo racked him for full hp then the next shot loaded and I shot next at the obj ammo racking him then I got a ram for final kill :D

I opened the game, went to the gold store, bought $50 USD in gold. Clicked on the IS-3 Defender mission and hit the complete button. Would you believe this beautiful tank appeared in my garage! No regrets :)

I have really great fun farming it. Definately will tell my story after I am done - stage 6 half done, no gold used and wont be used. I work, meet with Jesus, do some housework and with Lord's help its a really fast trip. Great event!

I got my defender after many hard fought tier 8,9, and 10 battle and it is an awesome tank, well done Wargaming. Also after seeing the IS-3 Defender in action I have decided it looks like Something HYDRA from the Captain America movie would build. Especially since it has all that blue energy in its engine block maybe it runs off power from the  tesseract? Lol

Defender Acheived!

I had the coin to buy it outright but decided to buy premium time instead. The first 5 days were easy enough but by day 5 it was taking more than a day per mission. I had pretty much given up on the idea of getting this tank and was aiming for free premium time. But the WOT team once again prove they are better a math than I am and as the days rolled forward I could see the end within  reach. I basically played all of Saturday to finish the last mission and even managed to M badge my dragon (tlhe little tank I have a love hate relationship with). It has been fun but I am starting to dream of this game so I will will take a break...... Right after this next game.
