This is an original map in a game that has been out for over one and a half years now...yet people still don't seem to understand the dominant strategy.
It has long been proven and commonly shown that going for the cap is THE dominant strategy on this map and that moving towards the bridge runs the high risk of ending in futility. The cap is placed a good couple hundred yards away from the bridge and it is surrounded by various obstacles (buildings still can't be shot through, nor can terrain), allowing for tanks to cap relatively unmolested. Those bogged down at the bridge then have to fight both red team and the clock to avoid a quick loss, and even then quick movement won't guarantee a save.
But I continue to see teams stampeding towards the bridge to this day. Every time this map shows us, there's either a lemming train from green team or red team hurdling towards the foot of the bridge, then standing there for a few minutes before realizing that the other side is empty. Whenever I see the other team do this, I just cap and don't even bother completing the flank in hopes that this loss will teach them a lesson.
But no. There's always a pack of mules going for the bridge. Every game.
Its even more sad when there's a med shuffling towards the bridge along with the rest.
