Clan vs. platooning?

Benefits of a clan:
- Easy access to platoons (if you're having trouble, try joining one of the larger name clans such as 501st or Triarii)
- Clan chat, you can easily talk with many people. Good for asking quick questions
- Clan supply: makes things like food consumables and tank purchases slightly cheaper
- (Possibly upcoming) Clan Wars - fight for your clan, get rewards
- Pride? Lots of players like to join a clan because they want to fight for a group instead of going solo. In other words, for the social aspect.

There are a total of over 6,000 clans, of those there are about 10 I would be a member of (IRD included), so yeah most clans are not ideal.

the list is something like (in no particular order)
501dv
titan
spud(x)
IRD(h) (obviously)
ronin
1776(a)
III (sadly I do not qualify age wise)
SRT (same age problem)
OCD (if it still exists and is what it used to be)
Cmpny
I was including feeders and sister clans as part of their parent clans.

Thanks for the idea of clans…... I applied to all those above, every application was denied. No clans that platoon exist, my search is over!

Read the caveat, "in no particular order". Also, this is the set of clans I would want to be a member of (assuming no prior entanglements , like the fact that I am already IRDs commander). I would not want to be a uscum member, I am including feeders with main clans (IE purpl) and I am not certain whether I would want to be a DD member, I play blitz for an entirely different reason then those clans. To me winning is only a way to give everyone a single goal so you can play and not the point of playing, so I take no particular joy in winning besides knowing that it means that I have done well enough that game. That would mean that I would not fit in at all with either of those clans.

i would eat a pound of dirt to join uscum

Odd, I would not join for anything. To much stress, I play blitz because it is low stress.

Really? To be in a clan with mostly high schoolers and college kids of which most are inactive anymore? Interesting life choices you must make. When i was asked to join the best i could give them was "I'll think about it," but in reality id rather play with good people for fun.
Proud to be an honorary [SPUD].

_Bones, most forum clans want to get to know you first. This is the way it is for SPUD(X) and IRD(H), both of which are stellar groups to join. SPUD has no requirements for joining except we want to get to know you, then those in charge choose. If you are interested come on over to the campfire (in clan discussion) it's like over 200 pages long so just go to the end, jump into the conversation, and introduce yourself. If you're a cool guy, you'll probably get in (but I can make no promises as I am not a commander). We brag, complain, give tips, and just talk about life in general.
Behold the Mighty OKRA
FEAR the Mighty OKRA
Cower before the Mighty OKRA
...Or just eat the OKRA... Your choice
