As stated in the other topic on this matter. I completely do not trust many aspects of this where tanks like a T-54 and IS-8 get a -12% and -19% credit earnings ...
I understand adjusting some upwards to bring them in line and reducing crazy repair costs, it has seemed very arbitrary where some tanks earn a lot less than others - at the same time as a player we NEVER get the full picture of per tank profitability, ammo costs, repair costs etc. I'm perfectly happy to see some will get a credit boost. Happy an average player will get a bit more credits due to savings in repairs cots ................ but to say that I'm going to be making -12% and -19% gross income per game in tier IX ?!
Part of the data on the forum as it relates to tier 9 ...
- 9 level
- 100.6% T-54
- 98.1% E 50
- 97.9% IS-8
- 96.4% E 75
- 96.3% M46 Patton
- 95.3% M103
- 92.3% T95
- 91.6% Jagdtiger
- 87.5% Object 704
- 77.0% Tortoise
- 76.7% Conqueror
- 75.0% Leopard Prototyp A
- 74.5% VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B
- 74.4% Centurion Mk. 7/1
- 70.3% ST-I
- 66.2% T30
T-54 100% - 12 ==> 88%
IS-8 98% - 19 ==> 79%
Block Quote
- 10 level
- 98.6% IS-7
- 98.1% T-62A
- 97.1% E 100
- 95.3% T110E5
- 95.2% M48A1 Patton
- 94.9% E 50 Ausf. M
- 90.2% Jagdpanzer E 100
- 88.3% T110E3
- 86.4% Object 268
- 80.0% Object 140
- 79.0% Leopard 1
- 78.3% FV4202
- 76.9% Maus
- 75.6% FV215b
- 73.3% IS-4
- 57.1% T110E4
- 56.0% FV215b (183)
IS-7 98.6 - 23 = 75.6%
T-62A 98.1 - 13 = 85.1%
Which is supposed to be offset by some 5k - 10k less vehicle repair costs?!
I might as well stop playing, right now.
Fact remains that for above average players, the repair cost is somewhat negated by staying alive and surviving. And the biggest cost is $$$$ premium ammo as -1 and -2 + consumables. So, if you are a carry harder kinda guy who uses the tools at his disposal ... -10% and -20% gross income right off the batt on 75k - 100k + on a good to great game, is a HUGE credit nerf, for those playing to win, as best as they can.
I guess we have to thank you for buffing the noobs and nerfing the most motivated tankers in your player base.

Bottom line: Compared to the old Credit earnings sticky, they have reduced many of the crdit earnings disparities between tanks. To many of us, those appeared pretty arbitrary in the first place.
I'm neutral on the recent adjustments. I do think they could have marketed the adjustment a whole hell of a lot better.
'We are reducing the spread between tanks on our mysterious credit modifiers in the game economic model in the interest of fairness'
sounds a hell of a lot better than
'Average and below players are finding it too expensive to play upper tiers so we are going to make it easier for them'.
even though the end result is probably the same.

Eh, I don't mind the update, the Leo 1 gets a profitability increase and a repair cost reduction. If you get hit it's guaranteed to cost you cause its armour is paper.

Most of the really good players are sitting on tens of millions of credits and little or nothing to spend them on. The bad player isn't. Those really good players aren't going to be held back by the adjustment in earnings. The bad players are clearly benefited by it.
If I was wargaming I would want to hold on to as many players as possible, regardless of their skill level. This appears to be one reasonable way to go about achieving that.
