Okay, first some basics. "NItro" when we are talking about fuel powered RC rigs like, is NOT NITROgen, which can be pumped and sealed into tires on real cars (like my XB), and some very advanced RC racers (which many times superglue the rubber tires down onto the wheel to keep the car or truck from just spinning inside the rubber tire and not move the vehicle).

That fuel can be messy, and require proper cleaning after several runs. Glow plugs have to be replaced after so many runnings, because they can gunk up or burn out.

Suspension parts can warp or break, tires and wheels break down, and only true hobby grade units offer replacement parts.

The radio control needs batteries in good power levels so as not to lose control of the car once it has the engine fired up and running, and a fuel powered car has to have a different kind of battery to get the glow plug to get hot enough to ignite the fuel, and then there is the question of the starter means, like a pull cord built in or outboard, or even an electric starter.

it canbe great fun, if you are dedicated to learning how to use it, and maintain it.

Not sure you want to commit to it?, did they offer a cash option or merchandise credit as an alternate reward?

Can you give us the name of the maker of this ride, and a model number or model name? A true hobbyist grade ride and supporting electronics are not cheap, so maybe ask if they will help you sell it for a fair price, instead of just giving it away unless you would really be happy with just doing that.

It is the Trexxas T-Max 3.3. It's pretty much the link I provided in my post. I have already packaged it and happened done anything to it and plan to give it to him tomorrow! I don't really want to make money out of it and would just rather give it to someone I know who is into these kind of toys.

Old men are gross.

Are you saying they come in a package of 144, or are you saying they are grotesque?

Did you seriously want some straight answers about your prize RC truck, or were you looking to just troll people?

No, look at the name of the poster, which is not you unless you are running 2 IDs in this thread. SOunds like you are already on top of things about this truck, which is a good truck by the way, and you are getting something else you really want more, so happy happy joy joy for you, enjoy your good fortune.

For the troll being snarky ....

As for calling "old men who play with toy trucks weirdo weirdo", sad you don't know about the people sending these RC trucks to troops in combat areas, where they are being used to check out dangerous areas and vehicles, which may contain bombs or killers lurking in hiding, saving the lives of real men and maybe only costing a "toy truck" instead.

Thats nice. The phantom is quite a good and easy to use machine. Just be careful with it (being $1200 or something like that) and register the quad because the FAA. Must be nice having a gyro staibilized camera. I do aerial footage the harder and shaky way.

Oh okay :D I was confused because you said "Did you (me) seriously want some straight answers about your prize RC truck?" But yeah. Thanks! I see they only go for around $350 which seems expensive for a Remote Control Car.

True story, and a hobby shop will take donations to rig up more of these kinds of trucks with cameras, to send to more troops in harms way.

What is FAA? Also, I was wondering since the package didn't ship yet, if what I got as a bundle was cheap:

It should come with two spare batteries (so three in total), the drone, the case, and a 64 Gigabye SD card.

About registering a drone with the FAA. Basically any drone over .55 pounds has be registered and tagged, and you will have to know and obey all regulations concerning owning and flying a drone in the US.

From the FAA directly, know what you may be getting into if your drone is over .55 pounds. Also know any local regulations too.

This should answer any questions:

http://www.dji.com/n...ou-need-to-know

As for the price, you got it at list price. The same pack on the official website runs at $10 cheaper but with no SD card

But they'll probably charge shipping and tax.

The US hates their drones with all these fears of spying and aircraft safety. Sucks I know and many think the same but hey, better than having to pay an arm and a leg for breaking the regulations and/or hurting someone.

Uh oh...First things first, I am not a US citizen. I am a UK citizen here with a Visa. It states I will be registered, but no Registration Certificate. Can I not fly my drone?

:(

:(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

:(

That means I cannot fly it in the US even if I register for a "Proof of Ownership"

What can I do with a proof of ownership?
