the t54 is garbage tank and wg need 2 buff it, the turrt is garbage and gun sux

 

 

Just kidding. I'm on the T-44, have gone through the easiest grind of my life, and have accumulated almost all of the XP necessary to get the T-54. I've heard and seen miracles happen with it and I'm super hyped to get it. However, I've heard that the stock grind is kinda bad. I'm not going to free XP the tank because I'm about 5k XP away, but I'm interested to know what modules I should free XP. I know I'm probably going to free XP the gun because it's such a huge upgrade and makes the T-54 what it is, but do I need to free XP the turret? Or should I grind out the XP for it? Should the engine be the last upgrade, or is the speed necessary? Should I spend gold to get the crew to 100%? Thanks for all your advice. I hope to soon join the ranks of my fellow clan mates roaming the battlefields with this beast and the two that come after it.

i domt have it, but i think the turret + gun are a must due to the fact you need the tirret to mount the gun

t 54 stock is slow af however maxed out its good i got the turret and gun first but its slow stock with no engine try to snipe with upgraded engine is when you cod people

4. Grind the tracks

 

75% crew is fine, except you'll be missing a lot

Consumables: Multipurpose Kit, Adrenaline, speed boost

Provisions: Improved Fuel, Protective Kit, Combat Rations

Ammo: 30 AP 15 HEAT 5 HE

Equipment: Vents, Wet Ammo Rack (absolutely necessary), Rammer

 

Take it from the #10 T-54 driver in North America, this is what you want to use

Would I get away with replacing the speed boost for an extra repair kit and vents for a gun laying drive or stabilizer?

Nah, my E-100 doesn't think it's nessecary, Wet or dry I'm still ammo racking you from full health.

I actually used gold (50% discount) to fully train the crew, as it takes around 200 games to train the crew from 75% to 100%, it really helps when using the stock gun.

 

As for the upgrade, I went for turret, engine, gun and track..... but I think you should research the track before the engine and gun.

 

The track allows you to turn much better and enable you to dog fight.

 

Please note that I grinded the tank during +2/-2 MM, but with the new MM, you will see a lot of tier 10s, therefore, top gun should be researched ASAP.

yes, wet ammo rack..... very important, hugely reduce the change of getting ammo racked.....

 

but it is still shocking to see a lot of T-44, T-54, 140 and 62a drivers showing the side / ammo rack to you.... wet ammo rack wont save you from that..........

I played thousand of games in these Soviet mediums without using wet ammorack. And guess what? I don't recall the last time I got ammo racked. If you play smart and avoid getting shot, I doubt you will get racked easily. Wet ammo rack is a waste of equipment slot in my opinion. You are better off equipping something that improves the gun / mobility than a useless wet ammo rack that prevents the slight chance of ammo rack. Nothing will save you if RNG wants you dead.

I don't think a wet rack is necessary.  If you play it properly you can protect your ammo rack and leave that equipment slot for a more useful piece, just my opinion :)

I don't run a Wet ammo rack in my 54, I run vents, rammer, stabilizer and double up on fuel.
