The M48 Patton. In the case of most tanks, they all have some advantage over other tanks. The M48 on the other hand is a strict downgrade over the STB-1. The STB-1 has the same view range and better gun depression, and those were the the Patton's 2 best assets. And it only gets worse from there. The STB-1 has better mobility, better DPM, better turret armor, and better hull and turret traverse. The Patton's sole advatage is a .1 second better aim time. Why has this tank not received a buff yet?

My suggestion: Buff the 90mm gun's accuracy to .31 and buff the DPM to a level as good the Leo's, and give it 330 pen HEAT. The T shaped muzzle brake is sexy af

M48 does need a buff but i enjoy this tank and the m46 no other tank sounds as good as these two tanks that motor roar though

Its the fat and weak American tier 10. It really is just a pin cushion from what ive seen. I have yet to find strengths (besides useless ones [viewrange])

But... the M46 Patton is still good, right?

That's the main reason I'm grinding the American mediums right now (casually but still grinding).

agreed. I think it is a decent tank still, given its absolutely trollish armor. but that is all it gets sadly. I agree, a buff should come to this tank

The M48 Patton can fire on the move but the STB can't. Look at the hidden soft stats.

I'll take a Patton any day.

Maybe hit 'em with a little ROF or gun handling buff, or perhaps even a terrain resistance buff to make it more competitive. The tank is known for its all-around capabilities, so buffing it too much in any direction might upset that delicate balance. Right now it's just getting too far behind in all stats to remain competitive compared to tanks like the STB-1 or T-62A/Object 140.

The M48 has good acceleration, decent armor really and it is a great rammer. Also it is very good at movimg and shooting. It can hold its own really. But it does need a slight buff, I would suggest a slight armor buff.

Actually the STB is the one that could use a buff lol.

The m48 is still competitive with its very good soft stats and gun handling. The turret is excellent as well, as its troll af, anywhere on the turret besides the capola, it bounces

While I don't have an M48, whenever I look at an M48's stats and gameplay footage, I can't figure out what makes this tank stand out. There are tanks that do what this does and maybe even more. While I won't say it is completely obsolete, WG needs to adjust it's stats to at least fit a unique roll. At present however, when I meet a patton in battle, It can at least troll me meaning it ain't bad but, I feel a tank should do more than that.

Absolutely no desire to grind for it. I'm tired of grinding a line for its tier VIII or IX, the end of the line should be the cherished goal, not a wet nacho, limp as they are.

I play my M48 quite often now. When i first got it i sucked bad with it now not so much so. The gun on the m48 is so accurate and the time it takes the shell to hit a distant target is very low as soon as i pull the triger and send that round on its way it hits immediately. The armor when angled properly is quite good and its tracks eat heat and HE. its reaction time is great and it has enough lowend power to climb grades most tanks would need a running start to. it can tranverse on a pin head and keep its gun accurately fixed on a target quite well. its  apcr round is outstanding and Heat isnt need as much yet i see it spammed often. its heat shell isnt as quick as its apcr round. I think if they were to buff it they should make the top machine gun cupula a bit stronger and add 125 hit points to it

The reason HEAT is slower than the APCR is because the APCR on it is actually APDS, if you go to your ammo load out you can see the complete names of shells.
