That moment when the "most obsolete tank" in Blitz is the OPs best performing Tier 10 medium. Yes I think something needs the buff but it ain't the tank...

The thing needs a DPM or gun handling buff. Give it the DPM of the post buff Leopard or the gun handling of a Russian med so it can fit a specialized role rather than being an all-rounder.

Think the Patton's gun is great, just the armor can't hold up to guns as good as it's is. Firing on the move, gun depression, aim time make the tank great until someone shoots back. And the Patton's mobility is pretty good too. The only thing it needs is a stronger frontal armor profile or at least turret like the Soviet mediums but it's still a great tank even if it is a glass cannon.

The best thing about M48 Patton is the monster tracks. Trollish as hell. Once you know how to side scrap and make your turret really hard to pen, it brings real trouble to your enemy since they think it's easy to pen. I really like it.

But I do think Patton needs a buff. It's a slow tank, difficult to do some circling moves against slower tanks. Maybe it needs higher acceleration or speed and I don't think DPM is a problem at all

Isn't the M48 getting a turret armor buff in the next update?

You haven't played the T28 Prot obviously?

Other than penning the front of anything it is slow, slow, more slow and more slow.  With the Russian light line coming IMO it will become the most free-XPed tank in the game.

STB-1 is the terror of groundhogs.

Patton is more accurate than any other tank if you aren't a fan of sitting still.  It feels like just throwing a ball or shooting an arrow or anything that's basically an extention of your hand.  Patton is great!

Not entirely a necro thread but maybe more like a coma thread?

But with the new buff, your original argument will become invalid. The m48 was a solid tank then and it'll be even more solid now. I'll take its troll turret, good gun depression, and stable gunnery over a lot of other tanks, any day.

And and to all the people saying they liked the m46 but not this, I gotta ask, why? Far better pen, far better accuracy, some armor, faster rof, complete improvement in almost every way. Even the mobility doesn't really suffer, and if you claim that is the biggest downfall, then may I remind you that the m46 is far less mobile than a T-54?

Anni is more overpowered than missiles were...will it get removed, too?

Just another demo account, nothing to see here

I think it's because people get it in their head that a turret should be superpowerful.  The T-54 isn't even the invincible turret people like to say it is.  I like Pattons because they are good at operating on hills and because they shoot accurately while moving and they aim so fast.  They are proof that accuracy ratings on paper really don't mean anything.  If you don't like Patton accuracy, try doing a short halt in an E 50 and then tell me which one is more reliable.

agreed. .36 dispersion isn't as precise as the Leo or e50, heck it's even less than the t-62a. But what's important is that can fire rather accurately while on the move or immediately after stopping, just like you said.

And as far as troll turrets go, you are correct in that the t-54 turret isn't invincible. But while I can be penned by either well place shots or high tier gold rounds, it rather hard to do so when it's moving. That same logic goes for the m48, however. A very well rounded turret means a lot of wierd angles. The armor indicator isn't showing it to be very red, so it must therefore be an easy shot
