I remember when people told me you could not modify Blitz. I used to believe in that until someone over in the Asia server had the idea of installing blitz on a new partition. Now, I could mod the game freely. (IGN N/A)

In case you do not believe me...

Spoiler

Here is the link if you hate me explaining:

https://madwotbmod.w...guide/#more-417

Summary:

1. Create a new partition in your hard drive

2. Set the default location of new apps to be in the newly created partition

3. Re-download Blitz

4. Change edit settings for game files, if not done already

5. DELETE ALL YOUR FILES (JK, you are done. Mod as you please)

Finally! I have been wondering how to do this stuff for ages. +1 for a great contribution, OP.

That SU customization though.

I was told one could but if one ever uses a MOD pack don't expect help from WG if anything ever happens to your newly remade account with its mods. As you changed there client don't expect help.

Working on a separate thread to explain how to create the skins.

I believe we can only make static mods (That don't change value)

Depends. The only you can get banned for is using module hit skins.

*more exists but I doubt most people can code*

Unless Wargaming built in a mod framework for blitz similar to how they did for PC, there is very little chance for any mods to be made other than aesthetic ones. Thats because developers have no way of easily pulling information directly from the game itself, they would have to read everything by trying to find the memory address's which store the data needed. Not only is the method for doing this tedious, but im pretty sure its not even possible on iOS because of the way iOS sandboxes apps. And even if it was done on Android and Windows 10, that would mean having to make a separate mod versions for the windows 10 and android mods, doubling the work for mod developers. And if that weren't enough, most devs (especially the Android ones) obfuscate their code every patch, meaning and reverse engineering done to make a mod would pretty much have to be done from scratch every time a patch is released, and im pretty sure Wargaming is one of those devs which obfuscate their code.

So unfortunately, mods which actually manage to do anything other than change the looks of the game arn't possible. The only hope is if someone took that time to make a 3rd party modding framework/api which other mods could then hook into, and even then that would require a lot of work and would need to be updated every patch. And the updates would go nowhere as smoothly as the PC mods because of the above mentioned reasons.

Well said. I cannot open most code files because they end in .YAML or .SC2 *yes, photoshop, but I am poor:(

If I'm patient enough to figure out how it all works, yes. So far I've just put my camo from the camo contest into the game, but that's about it.

Try watching my t54 skin video and get an idea of what you can put (like Stalin on my 54).

*I suggest playing it at X2 speed*
