Valid point Thunder. Very little backstory except what is spoken by the crew of past campaigns.

The final scenes while action packed and tense would tell me that SS battalion comander sucked letting them kill 100 of his men before using his Panzerfausts!

Agreed. The final scene was awesome, but pretty sure the SS woulda kicked a knocked out Sherman right in the face. Oh well, I got to see it for free from that WG competition a while back. So no harm, no foul. :)

I am super excited to see Fury!

But...am I the only one wondering how a WWII tank commander can keep his hair so perfect?!?!

hi OP, real life tank commander here. On my tank in combat we had three rules, they were as follows:

1. Look good.

2. Sound cool on the radio.

3. See rule one.

If you abide by those rules, everything else falls in to place.

Fire a 7.62mm MG at tank and expect to win, not quite. Entire box of AT weapons next to you, why not waste precious ammo by shooting a tank?

Since this thread has been resurrected, I guess I'll mention that I finally saw Fury last weekend. In short, I was disappointed. It felt like I was dropped into the movie halfway. With no backstory or knowledge of the characters, it's hard to care what happens to them. Not compelling at all.

it was World of Tanks: The Movie, complete with ridiculous Circle of Death maneuver. I thought it was entertaining, but I agree that it was not fleshed out at all. I would have been fine if they had cut about an hour out of it since there really was no story. Should have been a 90 min action flick.

If you don't want that to happen, then don't use HEAT.

Yep, and that noob Tiger.  Why the hell would he advance when he had a semi hull down position with cover?  Pull back, angle the tank and pick off the charging Shermans one by one.  They have a much better pen at range, while the Shermans will have a hard time penning them unless up close, and they only have a turret to aim at.  Yet the noob decided to get up close and personal and get CODed.

Well, I guess this IS the WoT movie.
