Good day all. Just thought I'd share some info about the new upcoming leaks for WoT Blitz.

As most of you know, Girld Und Panzer tanks were widely used and accepted when they came out.

 

However, Wargaming and GuP are no longer in contract, which means. No more GuP tanks are being released. (Unless contract is renewed, which is unlikely for some time.)

Basically here Marcius is saying what I said above.

 

However, new tanks are on the rise.

These 2 tanks are apparently from the game Valkyria Chronicles.

 The Edelweiss, for some of you older folk out there, may spark a memory about the classic movie, The Sound of Music. Edelweiss is the name of a mountain flower, and Austria's national song.

The next tank to appear, is the "Unnamed tank"

This tank has a striking resemblance to a VK 45.02 A..

 

These two tanks seem to have large caliber derp guns, but are most likely just 8,8cm german standard. 

 

Edelweiss and Unnamed are both premium tanks that are currently in SuperTesting, and may arrive to the shop sometime soon! 

I'd be on the lookout in the News tab in-game to see if Wargaming drops any hints.

Honestly I prefer more historical tanks, but its not my decision to make.

How do you feel about non-historical tanks in Blitz?

The GUP tanks were pretty cool. But this is just dumb.

They might be associated with some new gamemode or something.. nothing is in stone yet. Although I wouldnt put it past WG to make us pay for them anyhow.

At least GUP tanks were skins of actual tanks. These are ports of fictional tanks from some other fantasy RPG. 

 

Hate it. Horrible. 

 

Sad thing, tanks will probably be decent. I hope the credit coefficient is 0.01.

These tanks are based on real tanks. Authors used Pz3 hull, with M41'ish turret and made it look like Tiger 2. There are some parts from Tiger 1 also.

I hope those tanks are free and below tier VII so its not the Tankenstein-style Maraton (TSM) and more like the Kuro Mori Mine-style maraton (KMMSM).

Edit: the nameless tank looks like the VK45.03A rather than thee VK45.02A. how should we name it?

From what I found in a search, the makers of the game used some pieces of real tanks as a jumping off point, but even then it embraces the "ish" you mention. I'd say this awfully close to the guy building a tank out of cardboard and PVC (which a player is doing) and then porting it into the game. Heck, at least give me tanks from Command and Conquer Red Alert so I can have nostalgia*

That Edelweiss thing is ugly af. It just doesn't fit in Blitz.
