i like supremacy, but I just had a game that boils my peanuts (was in NC last week and they love those things).  Here's the situation. Red earns 1000 points but before the game ends we kill the 7th tank. Who wins? I feel like in normal encounter if you kill the capper right after they hit 100% you still get the win. There's an extra 5 seconds or so to finish out the game, which we did with kill number 7. But nope. We lost.

The game calculates the points before the kills I believe. Makes it so that objectives are more important rather than just going for the kills.

Supremacy counts the points accumulated during the game. The purpose of Supremacy is to gain points.. Period.

Eliminating Reds gives you points.

Claiming flags for your team gives you more points.

If you watch the bars in game.. you'll see them fluctuate and speed up and slow down.. reflecting the number of points that are being recorded, per team, per second, during the conflict.

For instance, your team gets more points per second if you have claimed two flags. Killing a red only gets you a set number of points on a one time basis. So, killing a bunch of your opponents and claiming the "kill points" is good. But if the reds are still holding the majority of the flags.. They are going to win.

Because a captured flag keeps pumping points to your side every second. A kill only gives you the one time set of points.

At least..thats how I understand it.

I believe that there is a small time frame for you to kill an enemy that has capped to 100 for it to count as a victory. It's the same in the PC version, but I’m not sure how small that time frame is.

Edit: found it, look at the third paragraph http://wiki.wargamin...cs#Base_Capture

I know all this, but if you look at the post below yours, the same logic doesn't apply to normal game play. In normal game play if you get kill 7 after the team caps to 100 you can still win. I'm sure it's working right, just frustrated about a loss that should've been a big win.

In supremacy points only count up, never down. So, unlike a normal game, you can't kill someone in cap and reduce the VP. Doesn't matter if you kill em after VP reach 1000, victory conditions were already met. I have lost and won one just like this. If you are looking for win someone needed to recap bases to slow their VP progression. Sorry, it's the rules of the game, time ran out for you. :harp:

Most idiotic idea yet from wg implement a game where two people could beat 7 as long as they capped. Playing one game in it and that is all it took for me. I wanna see kill confirmed, might as well I say.

I don't think that's technically right. You take points off of red when you kill one. Both teams start with three hundred but I've seen games where the team has 200 because a few players have been killed. I know I can turn it off but I like. And I know that these are the rules and ice probably had a few wins on the other side just venting.
