The World of Tanks Blitz community throws around a lot of terms and phrases which, unless you’ve been indoctrinated into the culture, you may find a bit confusing. Below is an alphabetized list from "N" to "Z" of some of the most commonly used expressions and their respective definitions. You can simply scroll through the list or search the page for the desired term. Hyperlinks are displayed in red and offer a more in-depth explanation. If anyone has anything else to add, please do so and I’ll edit it into the list. Click the link to jump to the WoTB terms, phrases defined: A-M.

103.Spaced Armor

noun

1. a style of armor consisting of two or more separated plates which reduces the chance of penetration.

e.g. "the spaced armor on my T26E4 SuperPershing helps bounce most shots"

FIX the example^

You do NOT bounce shots with spaced armor, you absorb the shell for no damage aka "the space armor eats the shell"

Hi, GenericMIKE. Thanks for taking the time to read through the thread. According to the official WoT wiki on ricochets:

Block Quote

You may ricochet off of spaced armour as well, and even if you penetrate that your shell may still ricochet off the underlying hull armour.

Please review the above link for more information.

For posterity's sake, this thread has been split in half due to its size. WG only allows a set amount of characters per post and the original "WoTB terms, phrases defined" thread had exceeded that amount. You can leave comments or suggestions on either thread. Thanks.

Phrase 85: IS-4 doesn't have a pike nose tank.

Edit: Phrase 98: You could say for the example:

When an experienced tanker uses a maxed out (Fully upgraded) and very strong tank in the lower tiers like the T18 to kill the newer players.

Maybe make a WIKI page and a link to it? I find that having to dig through page after page affirms is tedious, difficult (the search tool stinks-it can't read my mind) and daunting, especially for a new player. A stand alone might help. IMO.

Good call on the IS-4, Spinee. I edited that tank out of the list and also edited the definition for "Seal Club." Thanks!

I'd imagine Alo8ight will be pinning this second half of the original thread at some point in the future. Hopefully that will make it easier to find. But making a WIKI page is a good idea too.
