I've had a few matches where I had a tank in my sight's and my aiming circle small and my rounds goes in the dirt or fly's over my intended target, it's frustrating.  Even had a tank at point blank range, fired and nothing.

Me too. I was stationary in the Leo 1, and I shot a !S-7 right in the butt with APCR. (99% sure I have aimed properly, and desperation circle is at smallest state)

No damage. Not even track damage.

Many people have seen some crazy RNG duds, and they seem to go in batches. Couple games go well, then a few nothing pens or even hits.

Last night I was in my T32 and one of my rounds went straight through a Jpanther was nearly point blank range, 0 damage, didn't bounce or fail to pen it just went straight through it like it wasn't there :sceptic:

Really a pain in the Dracula when you wait 6 seconds for your shot and "poof" your shell disappeared.

Just finished a winning game but had three ghost rounds on a tank with less than 50 hit points remaining.  I got him by ramming, go figure!!!

Try any tank with a much longer reload. :)

I just had one earlier today, in my SU-100M1.  Shot the side of a T25/2's turret from like 10 feet away, fully aimed.  Nothing, no voice prompt, no dmg, nothing happened at all except I started to reload again.

Try it in a IS-3 Defender when reloading your clip, it's 14 seconds.  In that time I have been shot to pieces.

I have the same issue also , seems to be quite frequently too. I have noticed and it doesn't matter which tank or tier I'm using . yes its frustrating when you know your hitting direct targets . the distance don't matter either 150+ meters or like today I was less than 10meters up a tanks rear shooting it and casper the ghost shelled him .

There is an explaination of why you get ghost shells on YouTube on the WG Chanel. way to complicated for me to explain. Are there rocks or trees close to your target?  Is your target very far away or close up?  Try getting closer to your target the amount of detail in the surrounding environment is greater and will allow for a tighter shot. Your rounds may be getting picked up by larger polygons used to render details that are at distance. Not sure if I said that right.

This morning I was driving my T14, my first three rounds at a KV-1 flew over his head by wide margins, even waiting for a small aiming circle.  The only thing in my way was a set of sand bags.  It's frustrating to watch your round sail over the targets head when the piper is dead on, small aiming circle, flat trajectory, then off it goes into no man's land.
