A couple days ago I was shot in Helsing while having a house in between me and my enemy-

today I see this-

moments ago I go into training rooms and see that there are things that can be shot through. So far it's just the corners of things. Look at the range finder. The aiming circle was completely on the "solid" object. Just thought I'd report this-

Yeah it's pretty tough putting every nook and cranny into the soils objects so things like this slip through occasionally said your still late about 2 years late. Devs know and decided it's not worth patching as your the other pic looks like someone else came and shot you

well, that's sad. Guess I'll use this to my advantage then.

and did you not see where the shot came from in the first picture? (That white thing from behind the corner)

You might be right though, maybe the game glitches and showed that the shot came from a different direction.

Those trails are often misleading. There was a good piece a while back on the geometry of objects that explained these phenomena in more detail but I couldn't locate it.

thanks. I'm very happy to know that someone isn't constantly shooting me through buildings. Wish these trails would be fixed though.

Recently had one where trail looked it came from the sky! Like a blimp or something, miles from any object. Realize it's just a glitch in the track calculation, same that makes it look like your getting shot through a building or rock.

yes, I remember that thread. The summary was that the tracer is drawn after the shot and destruction of your tank and when its drawn its drawn based on the current position of the red tank not the previous position, allowing for inaccurate tracers.
