I don't know about you guys, but the new Mines Map is a lot nicer looking but I don't really care for its setup.  I never had a problem with the old version of Mines and rather enjoyed the faster, more intense battles that occurred there.  Oh well.

Here is a 5,000 damage, 3 kill game on "An Oldie But A Goodie" - Mines!

In addition to wanting you hear your thoughts on the current state of Mines, I think I'll throw a poll in here.  Please vote your conscience :great:

Thank you for your time and attention.

God Old Mines was so bad. It was literally an all out slugfest for the hill and it depended on sheer numbers and luck to win rather then proper skill now. New mines might be less hill focused but it still serves a good purpose. Now to go rework Dead Rail

I think the older map. It really simply needed some tweaking.

I like the new map, on

y because of the nerfed hill. If they fixed the old map, I probably wouldn't care, because I see so many draws on the old map; whereas the new map is good for engagements.

Loved the old map. Forced mediums to take the hill. If mediums wimped out then the team typically went up in flames. I thought it was fun and different. Map variety is key and that map was unique.

Maybe move the cap circle to a spot less awkward where action actually takes place.

Old mines was more medium dominated .

I don't remember I lose many battles on new mines map .

Now I don't tell my team to go hill.

U can win easily without hill also .

Just all go together towards cap circle and try stay near wall .no medium tank from Hill can hit u .

I think I am winning more battles on new mines map than previous one.

New mines map is good.

it take some time to players to get used it.

Don't die for hill at all.

U can win without hill also .

I do Cap on base circle with my team .

And automatically we win .

New mines to focused for my taste..go cap Instead of hill...I would prefer something like vines setup, more variety.

They could of just opened up the hill on all side of old mine map and that would of been fine by me...I never liked losing my medium hit point so early on the old mine map...mediums usually need there hit points late in game. But if your a great player probably any map is ok.

Why can't we have two kinds of Mines map in this game? :'(

From the south spawn at the new map there's a good spot if you rush the hill and stay to the left. You can get side shots on the reds that rush up and turn right and there is also another rock a few meters out that provides cover from any reds camping near the north spawn. Other than that I haven't found a comfortable spot on the entire map.

Old mines was one of my favorites. I had a tier IX game there once that lasted 1:25. It was a brutal beat down where everybody did everything right. There were more close games there than what I've seen from the new map. I wonder what the average battle time is on the new map and if anybody has ever seen a draw there.

With the new map, beat downs are regular occurrences. Teams just sit and wait for it, or rush their way to it. There is no place to hide and there are no good fighting positions. It feels ole you're exposed no matter where you move. Tanks that are posted up behind bushes or rocks just sit and wait for you to make an appearance. If you rush the hill you're immediately exposed from sniping positions near both spawns. It's too small, there are no places for meds and lights to go get spots without being spotted themselves. I loathe this map.

It's the map.  Get used to it. No need for the 30th thread on this subject.  Not trying to be rude, but jeez louise.

To be fair, everyone was crying for a Mines rework. Now that we got it, many seem to be crying that it was reworked.

Got what you we wanted- a reworked Mines.

I have quit the game for now.  It is no longer what I began playing in 2014, and while change is not inherently bad, it is also not inherently good either.

I'm not loving the new mines either. However I'm pretty sure it's because I haven't figured out how to play that map. Simply not enough experience on it. Most of the player base doesn't know how to play it either.

Eh, I prefer the new mines. It's nice to not have your team's chances of winning dictated entirely by what and how many meds mm decided to give you.

Currently in the garage: IS, T-43, LTTB, M3 Light, LTP, KV-2, IS-7, Panzerkampfwagen III, Panzerkampfwagen II Luchs, Leopard, T2 Light, T7 Combat Car, STB-1, Panzer IV Ankō, Dracula

Not me. I always said I liked mines the way it was. Yes if you only played mines it would get old, but in rotation I liked the variety of it as it played different from all others.
