t-43 is the better tank but go kv-13 if you want to go down the heavy tank line later on. All preference, but juding form your sig, your find more enjoyment on the more rounded t-43.

my opinion, T-43

I'm back maybe :S

I've got the IS, and plan that line.  I still have some work to do on my T-34-85 before I make the move. Thanks

Go w the t43. It's more forgiving. Kv13 has little gun depression.

T-43 is a credit grinder if used properly

T43 is much better all around, the the KV13 is fun. Why not do both. If you get the KV13, you will need to get the T43 anyways. Just take a detour.

I'm still a noob, but my luck has changed. Yours can to.

Don't stress about stats. Enjoy the game!

KV13 is one of the trashest medium tank of tier 7. It trys to balance out between armor and speed but eventually ends up with none of them.

It is probably a little better than t20, who has medium speed, poor armor, and awful RoF.

Wut...

KV-13 is still a really solid tank. Definitely not trashiest.

Kv13 stats are inferior in like every possible way to the T-43.

In what areas is it actually better?

In a word: Armor.  The KV-13 has 45mm more armor on the front hull, +10mm on the hull sides/rear, and +10mm on the turret front.  That might not seem like a lot, but the KV-13 is much more bouncy than it appears on paper.  In return, it gives up some DPM and traverse speed.

For me personally, that extra armor means living longer, which means sticking around to do more damage in each battle.  While my WRs in both are nearly identical, my survival rate in the KV-13 was MUCH higher, and hence, so was my Avg Dmg.  But then again, I played the T-43 very early in my Blitz career, so it's highly likely that I would do much better in it now than I did when I'd only been playing the game for a few months.

The t-43 is the best tank in the game.  Nothing else comes close.

I think T-43.  Reason;  T-54

I do "ok" in mid-tier Russian Mediums -- except for the KV-13 (31%).  I'm not sure what it is; the lack of gun depression perhaps.  But I have trouble driving that thing out of a soggy cardboard box with out exploding.  I do better in the T-43 (41%).   And the next two tanks in that line, the T-44 (54%) and the T-54 (56%) (heck even the Obj 140(53%) ) are also really fun.

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

Cheez nailed it.

The KV-13 is a very good med. IMHO closer to game play in the T-44 and 54 than the T-43

Gun Depression (with upgraded turret and top guns mounted)
KV-13 : 5-degrees
T-43 : 8-degrees

T-44 : 7-degrees.

And since you mentioned both "lack of gun depression" and T-54, the T-54 has the same gun depression than the KV-13, at 5-degrees.  T-62A is also 5-degrees.  Obj 140 has slightly more, at 6-degrees.

Seriously people, using gun depression as a reason to pick to the T-43 over the KV-13 makes no sense at all, especially since the high tier tanks in that line have the same as the KV-13.  So using that logic, the KV-13 will be a much better tank to prepare you for the T-54, T-62A and Obj 140.

OK .. so it's not the gun depression, and it has better armor -- then what is it?
