Is the new Mines map good? Is it balanced?
Personally, I find it undesirable for a number of reasons.
- The ramps towards the mine entrance are too cramped without enough terrain feature (rise and dips)
- The idea of getting into mine to spot TD positions from PC does not apply on Blitz. You don't need to enter Mines to spot. The mine is just another place on the map with no particular advantage.
- Static hill ramp standoff which is now common is boring.
- The team from northern spawn is more advantaged with better TD coverage and better rock cover for its flankers through light house
- The hill foot near town is too round for heavies of southern team to take cover from the northern TDs
- A majority medium team with no TDs seem disadvantaged.
What do you think? Is the new Mines map fun? Is it balanced? Does one spawn receive more benefits than another? Are some kind of lineups naturally disadvantaged (like with the old Mines map)?
