Next one! (Part of a set)

This one will be running alongside the Tier 10 one.

Overall Result: Good

Tournament Requirements (Out of my control...for now)

  • Groups of 8 with best of 3 format
  • 1 Winning team per group
  • Prize Amounts (Scaled to the max number of participating teams)
  • Team Size 7-9
  • Tier VII must be included
  • All maps must be Supremacy Mode
  • Must use all maps that can be Supremacy Mode

Improvements/Changes:

  • Moving registration timings to later in the  to see if it helps.
    • Seeing what happens when we have multiple tournament registrations open at once
  • Creating a non-Tier 10 tournament to allow more variety of players to participate
  • Trying to announce multiple tournaments earlier

Known / Reported Issues:

  • [Known Issue] Registration issues - we have had reports of issues that either prevented or delayed invitations to people preventing them from participating or creating a team in time.
    • I have been informed that this is supposed to have been fixed.
  • [Reported Issue] Not being invited to a match - We have had a report that after the first battle a team did not receive another invite for the second battle and automatically lost.
    • I have not seen any additional reports of this happening so I am calling it fixed until more reports come in.
  • [FEATURE] Team Deletion / Registration Closing - All teams that have not claimed a spot in the tournament itself when either the registration time is up or the tournament hits the maximum number of teams allowed, will be deleted from the "waiting/pending" list. Also hitting the maximum number of allowed team closes the registration period. Even if one of the teams cancels and we drop below the maximum.
    • This is currently a feature but please continue to leave feedback.

Feedback Request:

  • Did anyone experience any AFK/Less than 5 member teams?
  • What would be more beneficial to you for finding out about tournaments? "Future Tournaments" in game? or an out of game news article?
  • How was the competition? Was Tier 7 a good place to hold the limit?

If there is anything else you'd like to leave feedback on. That is what this thread is for!

Overall Feedback Gathered so far:

  • Filled up at a good pace and had a full 128 teams
  • Lower tier matches seemed to be desired.
    • Look into expanding
  • Minimal AFK (only 9% of Quarterfinal matches played were AFK vs AFK)
    • Look into shortening up registration time to tournament start time

Filled up too quickly...may expand teams at prime times.

It actually didn't fill up until next day afternoon, which is plenty of time IMO.

It slowed down from initial spurt of interest...

BUT, need more Tournaments at lower levels, share the wealth.  Folks not at tier ten wanna play, and the tier seven tourneys fill up quick.  New guys wanna tourney too!

SUGGESTION:  TOURNAMENTS AT EVERY OTHER TIER STARTING AT TIER THREE.  SO: III, V, VII, AND IX/X.

When you go to chess tournaments, they don't make you play a grandmaster!

CONTINUE to expand tournaments time slots in addition to weekends.

Also, any time references should also cite time zone to eliminate confusion.

We played six games woohoo! All the team showed up. The first battle not all teams were full but they got it figured out by the second fight. So the clans being no show problem was fixed. It seems people are figuring out how to organize a team for registration and assemble the team for the game.

I like the number of teams. 128 seems a good number.

I like the the option of tiers at the same time frame.

I still like same-day registration and battle. But the way this was set up seemed to work.

9 clanmates is better but if that number could be increased even more I would love it. We have a clan of 50...

I don't know if these have been addressed, but:

1) Please make an in-game team chat for coordination of those who cannot join voice outlets.

2) Please don't make the maps random, please designate which maps will be used for each Quarters, Semis, and Finals in each Group. They can be randomly selected just after registration and the groups are made, but the important thing is that all maps are given out before the tournament begins.

Thank You.

1) I have passed that feedback on already - but dev. features take a while to go through. Plus we have to get the feature approved first, which takes a while as well.

2) For this first few months we have a set format, that we can slightly alter, that we have to follow. This is to help us figure out where tournaments sit with Blitz. Unfortunately a lot of the tournaments we have scheduled are of a format that requires the maps to be random. I do understand and once we have a bit more freedom to experiment or change the formats around I will be sure to take note and see how fixed map tournaments run.

Overall: Awesome

The registration period to gameplay was good. It gave teams time to prepare and have time set aside for the tournament.

The game times were perfect.

Congrats to GRIM Cupcakes on a flawless victory in Group 2. We had a blast and o7 to all the teams that came to play.

I bought these stats

Need to seperate KBM from Mobile.

KBM is far Superior compared to Mobile Platform.

If this is a mobile Game, then it should be like Twister Cup, No PC.

This is a Mobile Game still? Right?

As productive as that is, I've seen your stats. You aren't even good at predicting the present.

Good point. I would be curious to see stats on this. Any way to find out how much better/ more effective it is to use a PC? What would the best way be? Compare damage per game? Xp? Kills? It's tricky to nail down just how much of an advantage it is...

Hi Sly.

Two things I noticed: 1. Some leagues had only one or two clans show up! Not sure why. Some clans are also showing up with tanks lower than tier 7. I guess that's their choice, but it doesn't make for a fair fight.

2. I know this is out of your control, but we are spending more credits during the tournaments than we received from the prize fund (that's the prize gold and credits combined). This means even a winning team at tier 7 isn't really winning anything spendable. We received 70 gold and 100k credits. I believe it should have been 75 gold? Either way, we would have to win 4 times at tier 7 to buy one day of premium. Seems a little on the low side.
