he meant to stop using "cancer" as a slang/derrogatory term. We are talking about the actual disease, so please stop cluttering this thread

Shawk is a truly great person and valued member of the community, getting the news of his health issues this morning was truly saddening.
Good of thoughts and prayers for him and his family and a hope of a speedy recovery.

Ladies and Gentlemen, 501 is sad to announce that one of our beloved Commanders, friends, and Community Contributors will be leaving Blitz. Shawk is, has been, and will continue to be a driving force within 501, however he has had to shift his focus onto his own battles with his cancer and family. While we hate to see him go, we fully respect, understand and support him in his decision and the fights ahead. We look forward to his return in the future and our prayers for his health go with him. Please give him your best wishes and support as he goes through these trials.

God bless you and help you with this 501ST

I know people who have had cancer and I understand what it does to someone's life; I am very sad to hear about this _Shawk.
I pray it all goes well and that you will be well soon! You can find me in any RvR room if you need me!

I've followed you for almost two years now. Your quite the 'force of nature' when it comes to our community. Keep the attitude you've cast upon us and you can beat anything. I'm a cancer survivor and pretty much have a thumb on part of what's going on in your life and have confidence in you.
ps: to those of you who may belittle/exercise using the 'C' word 'recreationally' just remember you remind someone like myself of what tomorrow could bring... I'm no hypersensitive man but it sure is nice to go a couple days without being triggered into the dark thoughts that come with.
