Yeah, TC simply lists the guns based on WG's consideration of 'top'. Which is sometimes weird (ie. some of the pointless 'derp' guns that (used to?) exist).

There appears to be a bug for collector tanks where the only gun they now have is gone, but the guns they USED to have are the only ones there. IE, the t150s 107 is missing, but the 76 and 85 arent, the top 88 is gone for the toaster, but the 76 and bottom 88 are.

So I've had a quick look and I think it's just a Q of the 'old' guns still existing, and you have to ensure you select the correct turret. Maybe the turrets are defaulting to the wrong sort order now though? hmm....

 

Does that seem right?

 

As far as I can tell, there's nothing in the client data/XML files to indicate guns/turrets have been removed, though I've only had a cursory glance. If anyone knows otherwise please let me know. If the data isn't in the XML, I'd have to do it manually or something and I don't have the time (or tanks...) to do that right now.

That's working, I never assumed it defaulted to the stock turret since it always uses top modules.

It tries to make educated guesses... But sometimes WG changes things and stuff goes weird.

 

I've pushed a little update to Tank Compare that sorts the order of the turrets in the list (with 1st place, as it were, being the default).

The turrets should be sorted by their tier, and if tiers are the same (as in the case with toaster), then the turrets are sorted by the average tier of the guns they support.

 

This does seem to resolve things for the T-150 and Pz.Sfl. IVc.

 

I haven't done extensive testing on this by any stretch of the imagination, so, as ever, feedback appreciated.

Do you think you could add the pen loss over distance statistic? I was nosing around on Blitz Hangar and they have that handy dandy stat.

Probably, though I do wonder how handy it really is due to the small Blitz maps? I haven't checked - is there much variation?

In my mind I always consider the 'stats overload' scenario. Though maybe one day I'll make it so you can select which stats to show/hide in Tank Compare similar to the 'tank table' on BlitzStars...

It changes some 13 percent beteen the 15 and 128 on the borsig, so id say its worth looking at

Hmm well I have added it to my 'list' but at this stage I don't think it will appear until I make a system to show/hide specific stats. Dunno when that might be...
