Hello Tankers and Happy New Year!
I wanted to post something here to update you on my status and to provide encouragement to those of you who are struggling to get better (No bragging, I'm still five games away from sucking). I wanted to share that everyone can make improvements in their game, even the most noobish of players. Actually, the more noobish you are the easier it is to improve because you have more room to grow. I've played a lot and I've been working on rehabbing my noobish mistakes. With 32,000 games that's not a small feat.
I originally posted a thread in March last year, a follow up in November, and now this update. You can find my old links here:
November 2016 http://forum.wotblitz.com/index.php?/topic/65481-my-journey-from-noob-to-blue-and-working-on-purple/page__fromsearch__1.
March 2016 http://forum.wotblitz.com/index.php?/topic/47159-my-journey-from-noob-to-blue/page__fromsearch__1
The update is that since November I have been able to improve my WR by 0.25% (and 1.5% since March) (that's huge with my # of games). And I have gone from Blue to Purple in my WN8 and Star1. Next steps, on to 57% WR and trying to figure out how to get my WN7 up.
The advice remains the same. Go slow, ask others on the forums for help, watch videos. Master your tanks before moving on.
LIVE longer.
Lastly, I want to give a shout out to o7o7. He gave me some key advice on improving my star1. Without it I'd still be struggling. Thanks and we miss you here!
Happy Tanking!
Edit - I just realized some newer players may not even know what a star1 or WN8 is. Here's a link to my stats, and you can look yourself up here as well. A great way to see how you're doing, versus the broader community. http://www.wotbstars.com/index.php?usr=turd___ferguson&geo=NA&lng=eng
