No.  It is not a good tank.

- Slow (effective P/W is barely better than the Jumbo)

-  no armor

 - only 6 degrees of gun depression and 9 of elevation, so it hates hills

- Low DPM

- Low pen, so it need gold ammo, further lowering its effective DPM

If you want a premium tier 6 medium, get the new Bromwell bundle  for $20

I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be.  The DPM works out to about 2 rounds less per minute than the Bromwell or Easy 8 and in exchange for this it has great burst potential. I don't see myself depending on premium rounds very often.  It has better AP pen than the top gun on the Easy 8.

Sure it could be more mobile, the engine really is anemic but I don't think it is a bad tank.  Its definitely eccentric with a different play style than most but I don't think it's a bad tank at all.

I find its performance to be competitive with my other tier VI premiums.

I like the tank but it certainly isn’t OP. If you can hang behind your heavies and use your burst damage it can be a very effective tank on the battlefield. However if you get on a bad team or you yolo you won’t last long. I’ve had some really fun games in this one though. And I pull it out now and again just for fun.

It will take me about 5.5k gold to to complete and i don't have gold meaning i'm going to have to spend about $30 in order to get it. Is it worth it or not?

Buy the Bromwell package instead.  The Bromwell is one of the most enjoyable tanks to play in the game.  The STRV isn’t bad, but it’s just another tank by comparison.
