Heya Tankers!

Something I started back in late 2016 is something I am calling my Tank Checklist. Basically, I need to learn about the different lines and play styles that each nation and tank line give.

I can do this via research or get the stats - but for me, the best way to learn is to experience it.

I know the mechanical basics. So now I need to put them into practice.

The plan is to go up each line until Tier VI and then play at least 50 battles in that Tier VI. That should not be a difficult task, but it gives me a basic idea of some fundamentals of each line. I will be doing these solo so I can actually learn.

I'll keep my list here and update it as it goes on.

Feel free to jump in and give me advice or suggest the next line I should go down!

Go up to the Easy 8. It is a difficult call because styles do not solidify in the lower tiers, but the Sherman and E8 are classic tanks that require positioning and thought as they have no massively exploitable strength. Depending on the map/team/tier you have to adjust and there can be frustration, but overall the process highlights the differences in approaches that can work (or fail miserably).

If you were going to tier 7, I would suggest going to the T25/2 as it is not really a turreted TD but more of a support medium with a messy yet effective set of attributes. One of my favorite tanks to play and rarely heralded for how great it is.

Of course, you are not even a tanker until you derp around in the KV-2. You have to get this tank and blast some reds in it. Required.

not sure how good you are....

but I just did the T49 and HellCat

highly recommended

whole line was pretty dang fun so far

especially if you have gold to get good crews and modules...something tells me you are a wallet warrior type of guy:trollface:

so for a line to stop at tier 6 I think it is great and you need to do an Murican line anyways

I am terribad. I played a ton of T49 and I HAVE the hellcat but only 8 battles before I stopped it. Over all I liked it.

My rules for this little exercise for gold is - only 75% crew at max when buying a new tank and I must grind for at least 1 gun upgrade before golding the remaining modules.

I do need an American line though....I think the E8 should be the first one.

At first, when I read that you wanted to go down all the lines and see how each nation's tanks played I was like:

Then when I got to the part about "That should be far enough to give me the basic fundamentals of each line" I was like:

Posted Image

Both the British and the American line flop dynamics all the way up...  The Japanese line...  Well, tier 7 is the auto loader, which changes dynamics just a wee bit... and on top of that the upper tiers play completely different from tier 6 to begin with...

But, I wish you luck, hope that you learn something in your endeavor, and just because I'd hate to see you go away with just a plan to play some tier 6 tanks, here take a Deadpool Pikachu:

Sly I highly recommend the t49 and the Hell Kitty.  They do well in both Encounter and Supremacy modes. I'm always up for a toon btw.

The deal about Tier 6 is more of a time issue than a "Oh I now know this line."

Tier 6 is doable for each line right now. I am not done at 6, but it will help me decide where I want to go. I will experience autoloaders, heavy armor, no armor, support, gun handling, derp guns, slow tanks, fast tanks, etc. It will help me to find and define my favorite style. Then I will be able to say "I mobile tanks with decent armor and crap alpha but a high DPM" with knowing and having a comparison to what each of those things are and what their opposites are.

Ok, might get a warning but here it goes....

Reroll your account

Play the Russian heavy line up to the KV-1. Angle the armor and play 100 games at tier 5 and I'm guessing you may have a high 60% win rate.

Join a top clan for the next tournament.

Tier 10's: FV 183, T110E3, T110E4, T110E5, T57, Patton M48, IS-4, IS-7, T-62a, Obj 140

There is only one TD, and 183 is her name.

Well.  I hope you're better than Ratbat.  If not, may RNGesus put you on red.  I'm currently trying to ace all tanks and I'm up to tier 5 so that brings up some questions:

- what time do you usually play (EST)
- do you get paid while you play?
- does the gold cost get taken out of your salary?
- do you / have you experienced ghost shots?
- have you tried dried fennel stem powder as a lubricant?

Just say 'NO' to Vanity

The german mediums are fabulous IMO. The 30.01D is one of my favorite tanks in the whole game because of its gun handling. The higher-tier meds are great as well. It is good to keep them at a distance and use them as snipers or in wolfpacks/flankers.

The american TD line is a bit unimpressive, especially in higher tiers, but the hellcat is a blast. It is quick, but it is important to keep people at a distance. It has a fantastic gun, so it is important to keep yourself alive so you can help your team. Conserve HP and never try to 1v1 someone.

Tier 10s: E100, FV4202, FV215b, Death Star, Mighty Maus, E50M, T110E4,

Check out our YouTube Channel: WoTeam

Favorite tanks: Both FVs, Panther II, VK 30.01 D, Pz. III/IV, T49, T-34-85 Victory, Comet

I wish your checklist included providing feedback on the m60 and medium nerf supertest situations.
