leo requires much more skill to play successfully. I suggest using the easy to play hull-down Americans first.

Edit: oh the tier 5's lol... Go T-34, it has a great gun and is the best medium for beginners... (in my opinion)

Have not played the Leo, but the T-34 is a very fun and very easy to use DPM tank

Get the T-34 and maxed it out then arm it with 57mm gun. The tank is absolute beast in carrying and isn't platoon dependent. :)

I vote Leo ...

It's a little easier to me.

The t-34 I bought back yesterday and still suck in it, either gun.  Sold it.

I don,t know how people have good games in the t-34, everything pens me.

The t34 is a great tier 5 medium,a little sluggish but still very capable, the leo is a great tier 5 light tank, the autocannon on it will rip other tanks to shreds and once maxed it is very fast and very capable of controlling the battle if used correctly.

It depends.  The T-34 opens up the great Soviet medium line as well as the light line.  If you are only looking at lights, the Germans are better at tier 6, but Soviets are at tier 7.  Don't have tier 8 in either light line yet.  Tier 8 Soviet medium is a lot of fun.

Both tanks are great. Leopard is much better, but i would recommend getting the T34 first, its better to learn on first.

In my opinion, I wouldn't  get either if I was a beginner. If I was a veteran at this game, I would get both. The problem with both these lines is that they need LOTS of skill to play. In the leopard line, the low armor on all the tanks is a problem for un-experienced players. Noobs would get a 30 percent win rate in them.

The problem with the T-34 line is that that line suffers from low pen. That means you WILL NEED to fire LOTS of APCR and HEAT. The T-34 line is one of the most expensive to drive because of this.

Both are very good.

I would go down the t-34 line first since the tanks that follow are all pretty good.

In the Leo line the VK28.01 that follows is great but the SP1C has been hit with a nerf again and it is a challenge.  The RU also takes some skill to run.

The 34-85 and the T-43 at tier 6 and tier 7 are both pretty solid and beginner friendly.
