Though no other types of tanks trouble me as much, TD's w/o a turret and especially those with a fast rate of fire tend to be my weak point. Take the Jadgpanther for example, great gun, great rate of fire, great accuracy, etc. but I can't seem to make it work. Any form of help is useful.

Thanks!

TDs are support, giving the enemy a hard time.

Try to flank or get a good sniping spot

Never flank alone

Td's with armour, like the jagdpanther, angle and dont let people get behind you, low fire rate high damage td's, camp and snipe and make sure a teammates got ur back, with fast fire rate low damag td's, you can snipe and camp, but you can also be very aggressive and use them like a medium/light, hellcat for example, good gun, no armour i played it like a light at time, regardless of its turret traverse speed, but sniped a goood deal too. I see too many drivers in that tank run straight to the frontline only to get killed in the fist minute of battle. Try and snipe out of site whenever possible. Don't get caught alone or in the open, you will get COD'd. If you are spotted give the left right shimmy in between shots to try and bounce shots. Stay near cover or something to back into like a building, hill, or rock whenever possible to avoid the dreaded COD.

I think the SU-85B is a great trainer for TDs. Mobile, but not mobile enough to go on mad flanks and hit-and-runs. Trash armor and trash gun arc. However, it has a legendary gun and legendary camo. It's low tier, but it teaches the concepts of TD tanking well. Besides, that just makes mistakes more forgiving.

I find this works quite well in my E25. If you're running vehicle camo, camo net, and at least T3 camo, then most TD's (minus flak bus) are dang near invisible.

I put the RoF to work at long range, perma-tracking, then pissing people off with the E25s stupidly fast RoF. Racks up damage real quick.

JPanthers armor (80mm) will not get you many bounces l even though it is angled- The Jpanther II appears to be much better in that respect as long as the lower plate is hidden.

I feel your pain.  I don't think you're alone with this problem.  Those tanks tend to have zero armor and you have to expose so many times to get damage.

I just rebought the toaster in an attempt to ace it... instead I'm just reminded why I hated it.

If you figure this out... let me know.

True. I rarely have any issues penning them from the front with my E25, even when angled. Once in a while RNG will hate me, and i'll bounce off of the gun mantlet, but don't count on it.

For a reason, that is unbeknownst to me, I did decently in the Toaster. I was driving it when it came out, so there were a lot of Noobs on either side. I never finished the grind, since there were 2 even more horrible tanks ahead, I called it quits.

I do horribly in the Jpanther as well, but hope that the Jpanther II is better. The Jpanther will not bounce many shots, but the gunmantle will catch some shells from autoaiming folks, since it sits pretty much dead in the center, which tends to be where autoaimed shots do.

The DPM of the Jpanther is good, but the issues is to get targets, plus you need quite a few shots, because the ~300 alpha even with the 10.5cm gun is nothing to write home about. You can run it in a pack as an assault gun, but in this case, you will probably get focus fired,  because you are dangerous and easy to pen. I think it is a tank that does much better in a platoon than alone.

I agree this is a really solid TD all around.  May be my favorite Tier V tank.
