So I have a mission to seize 400 victory points in supremacy. Two battles in a row, I kill a red tank early, we win game, I get 0 victory points seized. In another I seem to do nothing, die early, we lose, I get 10 points seized. According to WG you seize VP by killing red tanks. So, wth, how are these "victory points seized" really counted?

To those who feel the urge to spam "turn supremacy off" to this thread, pls reread the first sentence, I had a mission to complete.

:amazed:

You can't die.

The mission doesn't say it, but if you die the counter goes backwards.

Its a joke of a mission.  Its essentially want people to steal kills AND surivive at the same time.  So best to hide at the back steal a kill, then back to hiding.

Think its called Retribution.

Its to seize 400 pts from the reds in supermacy.  To seize, each kill you get yield 30-40 points depends on the tier relative to yours.  What they forget to mention is that if you die, you lose 30-40 points from any that you seized.

Ok, the forum speaks, that was a great help. So in the one where I lost but got 10, I probably seized 40, then lost 30 when I died, resulting in 10 net even though we lost.

there are are lots little "gotchas" like this that WG never mentions, maybe it's a second language thing.

Just looked, it's "retaliation", this description is correct.

Technically grabbing enemy bases seizes points. However it doesn't count towards the mission so it turns into destroy ten (or more if they're not top tier) tanks over any number of battles in Supremacy. Not at all worth it for what you g after you finish the mission, so it's an auto-skip mission for me.

Hard isn't the issue.  The mission is still a joke, much like Scythe of Wrath.  Both are essentially kill steal missions that overshadows the main objective of winning.  This one needs people to get kills but also play very conservatively afterwards so you surivive and get the points.  Scythe is pretty much kill stealing at its worst.  Kill one, then wait around before you steal the 2nd kill.

Do x amount of damage, capture bases or what not, they are all compitiable with the goal of winning the game.  These missions are not.

I think I did the scythe of wrath mission today by killing off 2 one shot meds that was harrassing the spud td.  Almost didn't get back in time to save him, but, managed to finish the mission and save him!  Bonus!

Yeah, sometimes you do get lucky and do it without comprising the overall aim of winning.  But those circumstances are the exception rather than the rule.

I get that WG wants people to play supremacy and (by all means) it's in their right to set supremacy missions even when a player has supremacy turned off.  My issue with supremacy missions like this... you can ONLY complete it or contribute to it when you get a supremacy mission.  I've been running tier 8 for the recent event and find myself only able to get supremacy once every 4-6 games.  That's rediculous when you have to run multiple matches to clear the mission.  WG needs a button to turn off encounter.   I would gladly use it even at the cost of sitting in que for a long time.

Just say 'NO' to Vanity

Pretty sure this mission can be accomplished by taking a base that's been captured by the enemy. The fact you can receive a limited number of points by destroying enemies is just a hint that there are other means of capturing points than capping.

Thats what I originally thought as well.  Cap a red base, and any point you gained from therein is counted as points taken away from the reds.

But nope.  Doesn't work.  Only kills add to the tally, and death take away from it.

This isn't a bad mission at all. The key is to stay alive so that you don't forfeit your tanks value to the enemy team. If you get two kills and live, that's at least 60 points, and at most 80. I would most definitely not skip this mission unless you are less than an hour away from your missions being refreshed. Otherwise it is very doable.

"When Clash of Clans sends its players, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing low damage. They're bringing YOLO mentality. They're bad. And some, I assume, are good commanders."

Lost 0.03 WR doing that specific mission yesterday.  Went full on TILT as I was on a "mission." Finally finished but wasn't worth it.  Everyone seemed to be scrambling to complete other missions that didn't necessarily reflect good game or team play. Had a few too many drinks on superbowl Sunday and that didn't help matters either.  Quite a comeback by the Patriots though.
