I unlocked the Is-4 already but I am lacking close to about 2 million credits, but I am also coming close to finishing the VK 45.02B and I'll be able to sell it for more than that, which would bring me up enough to buy either one, but I can't choose which one I'd like most. Both tanks are very good when it comes to armor protection and the Is-4 has a better gun and mobility but I don't know which one I should go with.

Tanks in garage: Tier 10: T110E5, T57 Heavy, E100, Grille15. Tier 9: VK 45.02B Tier 8: RU251 Tier 7: ~ Tier 6: AT-8

Premiums: IS-6 Fearless, IS-3 Defender, T23E3, Rudy, Edelwiess, Nameless, T6 Dracula, H0 Helsing, Pz. IV S, T-34-85 Victory, TOG II*, Kuro Mori Mine, Pz. IV Anko, Pz. IV. Hydro, M4A2E4, Pz. B2, BT-7 art., Pz. S35, BT-SV, Tetrarch

I haven't gotten too close to these tanks yet, but I would say the Is-4 because of the good gun pen, plus the tank before it are funny to play, still a little stuck on the Kv-4 though ._.

Maus has more hit points, more accuracy, more avg damage per shot, and has a higher potential.

They're both pretty trash tanks TBH.

I voted Maus

242 tanks in the garage! (Pretty sure only Crusader6 has a larger garage)

The IS-4 is the biggest downgrade in the game, you lose gun depression and a usable turret to be able to waste a tier 10 slot in game and get a few more hitpoints. On the other hand the Maus is a beast when played correctly and is even hard to pen with gold rounds. Unless you hate yourself get the Maus.

The IS-4 and Mays both occupy the "Rare, kinda mediocre, but potentially awesome in the right hands," niche at Tier X. Both have their strengths (well...The IS-4 is kind of a downgrade from the ST I, but I digress.) And can do well given the right circumstances.

I kind of wish I could get the Maus, but the Tiger (P) may be the worst pile of garbage I've ever tried to play. I've never played the IS-4, even on PC (the Soviet tech tree will remain barren, just like their gun depression.) But it seems like a real niche tank, not as all around powerful as the IS-7 or E-100.

I would go Maus though.

Is4, when played correctly it's a beast. The maus if if you want to take the hits for your team or take the attention of the enemy way from your team. The is4 is a jack of all trades vehicle. Good in about everything but not awesome.

IS-4 is more flexible, and while it barely has 2/3 of the Maus's health, it's a smaller target, and can react to a changing game a lot better than a Maus could. IS-4 can fight off CoDers better due to it's lower height(Maus has gun depression issues), and faster traverse. I'm not grinding either line very hard(30.01H and T-150) but both are good. I'm closer to IS-4, and I have found the tanks that lead to the IS-4 to be more playable/fun.

I've been seeing a crap ton of Mauses (Meis?) lately, but IS4s are still pretty scarce.  Maus seems better.

Tier Xs: M48 Patton, E100, T110E4

They are both great. They need to be angled correctly to win. Since the is4 is unlocked i would get it first.

Russian: IS-6, T-35-85 Victory, IS-7, IS-4, KV-5, Valentine II, SU-85i, LTP

USA: T34, T110E5, FURY, Pershing

German: Jadgtiger 8.8 Snowstorm, Pz4 Hydrostat, T15, E100, Lowe, T-25, Ferdinand

British: Matilda

You better know how to angle if you want either of these tanks; I'd say get the maus (I'm assuming that I'm one of the few in this thread who actually owns one). With proper angling and wiggling, you can eliminate all of the weak spots on the maus, while there'a almost always going to be a pennable spot with prem rounds on the IS-4 (when you're not sidescraping). The maus is my favorite T10 at the moment, and even if you do end up getting the IS-4, make sure you get the maus soon afterwards— it's fantastic.

I don't have either, but I know the 183 can't pen the lower plate with HESH. So just go off of that.

Both are excellent and glorious tanks which destroy all foes before them.

Personally I think I like Maus better because it can nudge enemies for 200 damage and ram them for much more, but both can scrape sides really well and gloriously lead the charge and give your team a better chance to win.

IS-4 probably has more damage going for it, so while they are both devastatingly strong and heroic, get IS-4 if damage dealing is your focus.

The IS-4 is the 2nd least noob friendly heavy tank at tier 10(2nd to the T57). You have to know how exploit it's strengths and hide its weaknesses. I see soooooo many IS-4 drivers that have no idea what they're doing but when I meet a good IS-4 driver I can tell right away that they're worth their weight in gold.
