My brother has the Chi-to, and HATES it. When I see him play in it, I see how bad it is. How do you properly play this tank?

It's basically a Cromwell without speed. It's a second line supporter, solid tank.

I may be lefthanded, but I'm always right!

The Chi To is an odd kettle of fish. I loved the Chi-Nu at Tier V, a tank which I think is arguably the best Tier V med. However, in one tier the Chi-To does a drastic left turn. I don't understand how the Chi-To could be so much slower than the Chi Nu, while being almost the same tank. In most ways, the Chi To is a step backwards. However, the gun is where it's at. Very accurate, great RoF, and solid pen make this gun the best part of the tank. So, combined with good gun depression, the Chi-To is a mid-range support gunner in most situations.

I loved it and found that keeping a 68% win rate in it wasn't hard. Better RoF than the Cromwell if you fully kit it out with rammer, vsnts, and basic food. This gets the reload down to 5.7 or so seconds, and it drops to 4 something seconds when you hit adrenaline. It also has better depression than the Cromwell and has better pen than pretty much every other normal 75mm gun at the tier with 155mm of pen with AP (with the obvious exception of the OQF 17pdr the AT 8 gets), with the German mediums at the tier sitting at 150mm, the British sitting at 145, and the Americans sitting at a pretty pathetic 128mm.

My Top Tanks: STA-1 (#939), Helsing H0 (#702), Lowe (#787), T7 Combat Car (#701), Type 61 (#697), Pz S35 (#682), Excelsior (#398), M22 Locust (#299), Pz 38 nA (#216),  Alecto (#216), Pz 35 (t) (#174), T-25 (#142), Stridsvagn 74A2 (#71), T-15 (#50), Pz 38 (t) (#48)

In My Garage: T-25, Tetrarch, Pz 38 (t), Pz 35 (t),  SU-122-44, Helsing H0, Kuro Mori Mine, Pz IV Anko SP, E 50 M, T7 Car, T2 Light, Locust, T-15, Stridsvagn 74A2, T23E3, Angry Connor, Lowe, Leopard 1, T25/2, 112, STB-1, BDR G1 B

I don't know what you guys are talking about - I love my chi-to.

its got a laser accurate gun with good dmg and rof.

Its not got mobility, but you don't have to play second line. Just play it smart.

I hated it.  I like Shinobi okay, but why play the Chi To when you can play a TD instead?

I'm sure you can do really well in it if you play as a TD - of that I have no doubt.  I don't get that though because you aren't getting TD skills for it.

This may be a bit harsh, but the advice is useful.

Stop playing it until you get better at the game.

The Chi - To is an under average tank that has no armor AND no speed. To be successful in it, one must cleverly use terrain and position themselves so they can support their team and kill the enemies faster than they can kill your allies, and if you can't do that, then win a battle outnumbered. That is something that a good player can do, but a bad player can't.

I personally liked it. The mobility actually gave me an excuse to camp in the back and provide useful support fire. But it is by no means a good tank compared to other tier 6 mediums.

You probably want to play something like one of the Russian tanks instead. They're quite noob - friendly and will teach you how to use cover, how to deal damage properly, etc.

I don't have the Chi-to.Your little "Stop playing it until you get better at the game." literally contradicts  itself. Think about it...

well post up your brothers stats.

loljk, what he means is, if you your brother cant play the ke-ho without fear of a kv-1 platoon on red, don't advance up the japanese line.

average isnt a bad place to be when youre relatively new to the game. don't let yourself stay there though.

draw me like one of your french tanks

Average isn't good enough :D you're above 39% of NA players, talk when you get to 50%  Until then, its probably a you problem, not a tank problem. (the Chi-To is a hard tank to use, but its by no means trash)

Awesome tank, but you have to take advantage of strength (accurate gun) and minimize weakness (armor).

If you are having trouble, you are most likely exposing yourself.

With the Chi-To all you need is the teeny tiny piece of the enemy tank visible to pen them. For example, as you come up a hill and as you do an enemy appears. Just a teeny tiny piece needs to be seen of the enemy tank to pen.

Try it.
