LTG McMaster is the newly designated National Security Advisor under President Trump. When he was Capt. McMaster, he was the commander of an armored cavalry troop (company) during Operation Desert Storm. His unit had 9 M1A1 tanks, 12 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, a 4.2" mortar track, an artillery spotter/coordination track, and misc. other assets. He and his contemporaries crushed the main part of the best armor Iraq and Saddam had to offer at 73 Easting, which is perhaps the iconic armored battle of the modern era. This is his account of his unit's efforts on the key day of battle, and I thought it might be of interest to the WOTB community.

P.S. Just to pique your interest, one of the first actions involves McMaster hitting an Iraqi bunker with a 120mm HEAT round from his command track. This guy led from the front.
