Alright - let's get this thing settled. 

 

Main points:

1. The IS-6 Fearless and the Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 were put on the Gift Store.
2. They were able to be gifted.
3. This was not intended.

 

What we did/are doing

1. We removed the IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 from the Gift Store.
2. We removed all gifted IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 from the accounts.
3. We returned the gold used to gift all IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 tanks.
4. Players who purchased any equipment for a gifted IS-6 Fearless or Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 can submit a ticket to support for a full refund of the credits used.
5. We will be providing all players who had a gifted IS-6 Fearless or Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 removed from their account the following:
   • 1x Certificate for 24 h of Premium Account
   • 5x Combat XP Boosters (60%)
6. If a player that was Gifted the IS-6 Fearless or Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 sold their normal IS-6 or Jagdtiger 8,8, send in a ticket and we will restore them without using an exception. 
7. We are going to return all removed gifted IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 from the accounts.

Honestly you should wipe the stats or the tanks could be requested at a later date in an exception ticket.

This means next time WG releases a deal that too good to be true, don't buy it. You might end up have a bunch of golds and premium days you don't really want.  

 

However, most people might not realize IS-6 fearless was not intended to be sold. Remember, most people don't visit the forum and never know clan wars.

Wargaming makes a mistake by giving out the M60 FOR FREE to random people  in some "social experiment". The random lucky recipients get to keep the M60, while the forums ignite because many people felt slighted by the oversight in not receiving an M60; especially since many trolls and new accounts received one whereas valued members of the community who have been here since 2014 did not.

Wargaming makes a mistake by putting the IS6 Fearless up for sale; people pay real money to buy gold specifically for the Fearless. Wargaming repossesses the IS6 Fearless with no communication given to said players who bought the tank and refunds them the gold used to purchase said tank. Even though that gold was bought with the intention of buying the Fearless and for many, that gold is now useless.

Makes sense. Gg wp, wargaming. Shaking my head...

There's a lot of bodies who make all this stuff happen at WG.  The gift shop was new, so it's natural to expect some growing pains with that. 

 

It's tough to make all this happen without a hiccup or two - having been in the development environment before, this is pretty minor!
