If I buy an IS6, can I get a free bucket of paint, a brush, baling wire and duct tape to make it look like an IS6-F? (Or would that just be considered a mod?)

Not really, remeber that people paid cash, not gold, for the tank.  Getting the gold back isnt really here or there.

No they didn't.  They spent gold to get it, not cash.  You don't use cash in the Gift Store, just gold.

Alright - let's get this thing settled.

Main points:

  1. The IS-6 Fearless and the Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 were put on the Gift Store.
  2. They were able to be gifted.
  3. This was intended.

What we think we did/are doing

  1. We removed the IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 from the Gift Store.
  2. We gifted an IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 to all accounts.
  3. We returned the gold used to gift all IS-6 Fearless and Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 tanks to everyone who bought one.
  4. Players who purchased any equipment for a gifted IS-6 Fearless or Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 can submit a ticket to support for a full refund of the money they spent buying the tank, while keeping any equipment.
  5. We will be providing all players who had a gifted IS-6 Fearless or Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 the following:
    • 100x Certificate for 24 h of Premium Account
    • 5x Combat XP Boosters (60%)
    • IS-6 Fearless (1x)
    • Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 (1x)
If a player that was Gifted the IS-6 Fearless or Snowstorm Jagdtiger 8,8 sold their normal IS-6 or Jagdtiger 8,8, send in a ticket and we will restore them without using an exception, and providing a 1000 gold compensation.

Things that were missed in our discussions

  1. Will/Can we wipe the stats of the gifted tanks from players accounts?
  2. Bring up the idea of having people use the gold they purchased when the IS-6F and Snowstorm to purchase other limited time tanks.
    • This will be implemented in the 3.7 patch.

I will be watching this topic and trying to answer any questions I can. If another point comes up I can add it to the "Things that are in discussions" section. I will continue to bring your concerns and feedback to the decision makers and will do my best to make sure every concern is heard.

Fixed it for ya... Again...

The other issue is damage control, people are upset and annoyed.  Giving a free tank isnt exactly that big a deal.  I got a 112 for free with something like 200-300 games.

While I think a free IS6 is a tad too much, but a tier 2 premium in the T1E6?

(btw I dont have an IS6 and didn't buy the Fearless)

Name one person that paid cash. I don't remember seeing a cash price on any of the gift tanks. They paid gold. They got back gold.

Well, no, you bought a bundle of gold first and then paid for the tank with that gold

I understand EULA terms even so this issue was poorly handled. I bought the tank for a collection and your actions remind all that you are selling nothing real. The constant string of similar service failures speak to poor leadership, lack of quality control and shows a very weak pool of testers. Your unannouced removal of tank was as poorly thought out as your original mistake. The compensation is weak. I feel you should have added 25% to the gold amount or something of substance. Something that made this mistake one WG did not want to repeat.I find myself unwilling to trust WG news releases, annoucements or adds.

Side bar: What are your plans to improve the service and the QC process?

Thank you for your time - J. Ware.

Thats a technicalities.  Unless you got a way of getting large amount of gold without exchanging cash for it.

People paid cash for gold for the specific purpose of buying the tank.  Thats pretty much paying cash for it.

Btw, if you manage your PR and customer relations based on technicalities, you are going to have a bad time.

Ok WG, how bout this, as has been said in previous posts, why not give us the option to get a different premium tank of our choice, that HAS been sold in the past, price remains the same as what was paid for is6 fearless regardless of tier, or how bout reduced price for future tank, or free future tank like is5 or the m6a1e2 mutant,AMX CDC.

Wargaming actually did players a favor by removing them because those are Clan War rewards and major shell bait in battle. Basically when you see one in battles it's almost like  it has a sign saying:

I AM A UNICUM PLAYER PLEASE SHOOT ME TO DEATH QUICKLY OR YOU WILL LOSE BECAUSE THIS IS A FEARLESS UNICUM TANK!

No, that's paying cash for a gold bundle. And since gold is the currency of this game, and used to purchase pretty much EVERYTHING, they did NOT pay cash for a gift tank. Had they offered the Fearless in a bundle with gold and prem time for $39.99, THEN they would have spent cash on the tank.

Let them keep the tank, but change the name to IS-6 Peerless.

Problem solved.

Sigh....  If you have to go down in the technicalities or even cite the EULA.  Then you have lost on the PR / Customer Relations front.

Look, on a case by case basis, use the EULA to protect the company as mich as you like.  But if its a wide spread and public issue?  You need to manage the public perception of the problem, and not just oh yeah nah, you didnt pay cash, so stuff you.

I bought 2 x 30 days of premium time @ $32.99 to get 12000 gold with 60 days of premium time so I can get the IS-6 Fearless and grind it for 60 days! If you trolls know anything about the bang for your bucks. You would have known what the hell I was talking about. When I said Wargaming owes me $65.98 plus just a little over One Million credits for equipment and camouflage and all the other goodies I put in it. Now you trolls know everything HAPPY?

BTW, for all those that keep on citing technicalities adn EULA.  Just remember that all electronic goods and IAP relies on a certain level of trust.  Break that trust, people will shy away from spending money.  After all, its all just pixels in the cloud.

What you guys have to remember when deciding if what Wargaming did was legal or not, they are a Russian based company so their ideas on things may be a little different lol. Not sure entirely what laws they are bound to, if main prgram comes out of Russia and we simply log into it to play which laws does it have to follow? Now I know we as players are bound not only by EULA  but also by the local laws in our countries,

WG is a global compay and is subject to laws in all countries that they operate in.  E.g On WoT PC Asia, we didnt get the 1 dollar crates during the Christmas event like all the other servers, because a Japanese law consider it as gambling and forbade it.  So the entire region missed out on it because of one country.
