i honestly just feel bad for the cw winners now. im fine with people getting the fearless back, but no compensation for cw winners is a backstab.

How can you compare something that was given out to various people who didn't do anything specific to earn it to something that took months to work for.

me2, I had hoped for a brand new Award tank for CW and that could have been given to the winners to replace the value of their Fearless

I got 1 of those too. Woke up 1 day and their it was. Do you mean to tell me someone stole it off of someone that deserved it, and hid it in my garage?  With the keys still in it. I've taken it out only like 8 or 10 times.

Easy -

M60 - given away to people, wg first said there was special criteria that put the recipients on a list to get the M60. Wg later refutes that and says there was no criteria; the giveaway was pretty much a social experiment. M60 recipients include trolls, inactive accounts, new accounts, and people who have no business playing in tier 10. To sum up- those people do not deserve the M60, whereas people who have been playing since 2014 do, yet didn't get one.

 

IS6 Fearless - awarded to "winners" of CW2 and later mistakenly sold in the gift store. People who bought it and gifted it to others don't deserve to have the IS6 Fearless, because it is a "trophy tank", much like the M60 was supposed to be.

 

in both situations, mistakes were made. The recipients get to keep the tanks.

 

Multiple similarities for both tanks. That's how I can compare the M60 and IS6 Fearless.

This is in line with past mistakes. WG respects the $. There is no validity to the argument that the tanks were sold for gold as opposed to cash (like the broken and never yanked/nerfed ke ni otsu) and people would feel they have every right to get their gold purchase refunded from the Apple Store/Steam/Google Play after losing the tanks they bought it for. 

 

As far as mistakes go, this isn't a bad one for WG. The company has obviously profited from it. The only victims are the original Fearless owners who were promised that the tank some of them put in months of effort for will never be sold and forever be unique. Now they are on par not just with their vanquished foes but also with a 40%er who could fork out $20. Their compensation for words that turned out to be worthless is more words from the same source.

 

WG was willing to break gameplay in tier 4 (ke ni otsu) and tier 8 (defender) out of respect for money, lying to and insulting 80 of its most loyal players is nothing in comparison.

There was never an established criteria to obtaining the M60 and there was nothing a player could consciously do to obtain one. It was never advertised, required no effort of any sort and could not be won. It represents, officially, the luck of the draw. WG gave it out to whoever it deemed deserving without any explanation. No one was denied a thing or injured through the giveaway. That some here see themselves as automatically deserving/more deserving than others is irrelevant.

Actually they stood by their product and protected their customers.  They made a mistake and mistakes can happen....then they made good on the purchases that were made and did the right thing.  I feel much much more confident having made and continuing to make purchases going forward.  Wargaming is standing by their customers that purchased and they are owning the mistake as theirs and not seeking to penalize the customer for something they did.  Bummer an award tank got sold but mistakes can happen and I'm sure such mistakes are much less likely to happen in the future.  More importantly Wargaming has proven to purchasers that they will protect them.

meanwhile they alienated around 80 of thier most loyal players, but i doubt they really care. i dont really care about this subject, but the cw players are gonna get slightly pissed

Maybe give the CW2 winners the reward from CW3? It only seems fair that they get something to distinguish themselves

Through the giveaway" - I, along with maaaaaany others, were denied the opportunity to play a long sought after tank that was "supposed" to be an award tank, like it was on PC. I haven't done anything deeming myself to be worthy of something unlike a new account who was awarded the tank? So playing for 2 1/2 years doesn't go as far as playing for a few months, noted.

 

And with all the rigging and fixing that was going on during cw2, there were rumbling going on that wg wouldn't even award the Fearless. My condolences that the months of long hard work it took you to "win" the fearless are now considered wasted.

 

 I would pay money to get an M60, yet it was given away randomly for free. Who knows when it will be "awarded" again, or what someone would need to do in order to get one. I am upset about that. I have no dog in this fearless debacle. It just astounds me to see the level of hypocrisy coming out of people who have the M60 and say no one else deserves it, and now the is6 fearless who say no one else deserves it.

 

All I have left to say now that wg has corrected one of their messes is
