Giving those tanks back cheapens the work of those who earnt them legitimatey. 

 

The selfishness from those who cried about losing something they didn't earn is discussing.

They didnt capitulate to the minority, they simply followes the money and this is the wiser business decision in the long run.  Those who bought the fearless have shown they are willing to open their wallets.  Those who won CW simply showed they know how to play the game.  Freemium games simply does not piss off their paying customers, especially when they are already a small minority of the player base.

 

WG messed up, and its either piss off paying players or a handful of good players, and they followed the money.

Thanks War Gaming, you guys are doing the right thing by returning the tanks to the people who bought them. I am absolutely amazed at the chaos this whole thing created and a bit amused at the same time. People have some very strong feelings over a little pixelated tank. Keep up the good work and haters, hate on.

Okay, I have one more question. So people who spent gold on Fearless and started to whine when it was taken back because "they did not want gold, they wanted the tank" got compensated.

Now how about people who purchased premium time during CW 2? Or maybe purchased gold to free xp some tier X tank and use it in CW 2? Or even purchased premium tanks to grind credits that then were spend in training rooms during CW 2 battles? Would those players have done that knowing that there will be a way to get Fearless in a few months completely free?

The thing is, WG could take the Fearless and have a good moral compass (also has to find a better solution) or gives the Fearless back and take the profit. They chose the profit. This makes me feel discouraged to spending more money (as some others probably were discouraged too) but in the long run, i dont matter, WG will always find new players to get money from.

While I commend WG for taking action I personally feel they took the wrong action. 

 

Sure it impacts those who won the Fearless in Clan Wars but think about this beyond just the winners. This is also a slap in the face of the organizers of Clan Wars 2 and what Clan Wars stands for. Why participate for the top prize if the chance of buying it appears?

You know absolutely nothing about how much I've spent on this game.  You can do a lot more with money in Blitz than buying premium tanks.  And I've damn sure spent more than many of the accounts I've seen that got an M60.  All those new accounts with barely any tanks in the garage and barely any battles, are you seriously going to try to say ANY of them have spent more than I have?

 

The M60 wasn't about "big spenders".  WG has flat out admitted it was a social experiment and was given out completely randomly.  How anyone can still believe the "big spender" line amazes me.
