It's the Nameless.  The Edelweiss seems to have a better reputation and I don't really know why.  You have tons of fast mediums and lights at that tier to pick from.  The gun is great yeah, but you don't get to run a Vertical Stabilizer and, unlike the Dragon, it actually makes a difference on that one.

The Nameless has all of the typical heavy tank characteristics.  It has a pretty good and small turret, a good frontal plate, and decent but not amazing speed.

What it does have:  A gun that hits for 300 damage and reloads like a horny rabbit.

It has a turret traverse that prevents ANYONE from toying with you.

It has mobility to reverse in and out of positions quickly and to reposition itself faster than an IS could ever dream of.

If you ever see a Nameless, get a Nameless.

^^^^^^ this, Nameless is easily my highest WR tank in Tier 7, possibly in the whole game, gun is amazing, and you can bounce shots all day long if you angle a little

It's a good tank for all the reasons you stated but it tends to get tracked easily.

true enough. doesnt seem too impressive until there's someone with a pulse driving it. tier seven t110e5, pretty much.

and here i was thinking it'd be a superpershing thread or something... i guess it truly is easy to forget about the nameless.

The Edel is better then the Nameless in my opinion.

The Edel can hull down and has a very bouncy turret, along with a small target profile once you are hull down.  The alpha is also pretty respectable, along with the Pen.

The biggest issue I have with the Nameless is the fact that the gun is utterly too random.  It's like a slightly faster reloading, slightly lower Alpha IS or IS-2...  And the armor isn't that bouncy that I've noticed, but maybe I'm just not using it correctly.  The Turret and the Front Plate are both pen-able with Prammo in most tier 7 mediums...  Plus, like the Tiger II, if they do get flanking shots on you, it's kinda all over, the side armor on both the turret and hull are not good enough, and it doesn't have the low profile bouncy-effect of the Russian Heavies...

So, while I respect your opinion, and own both, I personally believe the Edel is the better choice...

But then again, I'm a pretty bias medium driver...

The frontal can be troll when angled properly and the gun is serviceable but I find the tracks to be weak. 've full health ammo racked dragons with it. It will make you take notice if you're shot by one.

I think it does play a lot like other German heavies but with a lot better breakthrough ability.  It is somewhat like a mini E 100 (minus the turret angling ability) but at Tier VII you really need that turret traverse more than turret armor.  I am a little sad because I lost three in it earlier...but I'd rather play the tanks I have than sit on purple stats forever.

As for the gun, I feel like it is a good compromise with the imperfect accuracy.  The rate of fire and sidescraping ability make it have a lot more potential than peak and boom IS style tanks.

I just noticed you only have 19 battles in it...  according to WOTBstars...

Is that true?

You've got to run it more.

I do have to admit, I think it's a pretty tank.  I do absolutely adore the camo.  It's prettier then the Edel.  Especially while driving it...  The Edel has super-fat guy with a little hat issues.

Edelweiss is much better. I don't have the Nameless, but heavies are generally inferior to mediums at tier 7. Edelweiss has that strong turret like ahredstealth mentioned, and it's got the extra alpha and a pretty good DPM. Loved it more than my Type 62 and Dracula actually.

Turret on the Nameless (actually everywhere on the Nameless) can be hit with premium rounds at Tier 7, whereas the Edelweiss turret doesn't have that problem.

Mmmm, I like fishyysss...

I do I kind of take my time with Tier VII tanks tbh.  I figure they will always be there and no rush.  They don't make as much silver as VIIIs tho

I still think that this is a great tank.  That reload on a heavy!  I think that overall is the defining feature.

Ya all these buffs and nerfs to tier 7 we’re almost all caused by the t6 and helsing. They could be tier 8 tanks and still dominate
