I get that it has no legendary camo and isn't the reward at the end of the line, but seriously nobody talks about it?  It has same damage but it is slower...so in other words it looks like it is really good in its own right.  I'm just at the VIII right now so I can't comment on it yet, but I see less of this tank in battle than any of the other French, including the 50b.

You don't see as many of them because the line only came out a week ago, and wallet warriors who free-XPed the line are either playing the 50-100 or the 50B.

The 50 120 does seem like a strong tank.

I agree I can't wait to get this one.  So far the French line seems to be really good all around.  I wasn't that excited for it but some friends wanted to go up the line and so we did.  I think it has one of the best learning progressions too.  None of the tanks after Tier V are very well armored, but the non-autoloaders have great DPM and a kind of bad aim time which forces you to get used to aiming longer so that you know how to use the autoloaders when you get them.  So far that's what I'm noticing anyway.  Really good tanks, and the 50 100 is much better than T69.

Yeah, to be honest I've only heard great things about every single French tank above tier 5.

WG did an awesome job with this line.

Keep these threads going. I'm leery about grinding past the ARL. Stuff like this helps me decide if I'll keep going. +1

I am 18 games into the 50 120 grind.  I am not a huge fan of it at this point.. although some of that might just be my limitations with using auto loaders.  It can feel very team dependent, if you team dies off quickly good luck managing your clip reloads with no one to cover your back.

It has low DPM.. you better make sure you pen every shot.

It has only 6 degrees of gun depression and 8 degrees elevation, can be limiting at times.  50b fixes this problem with 10/12.

The 25 second clip reload can be hard hard to manage.  Sometimes if feels like it is taking forever.

It is basically a glass cannon.

The nice things are its great top speed and dishing out 1200 damage in 5 seconds.

It's kind of team dependent but no different than most TDs to be honest.  I'm glad I went up a few TD lines before getting these because they are similar in a few ways.  You have the speed to follow and support mediums but the damage output to follow heavies and punish enemy heavies that make mistakes.  For that reason I would honestly rather roll with mediums most of the time but not always.  What they can't do is play like the Chi Ri, which is hardly limited by its magazine reload and trades it off for having a slower speed.

but yeah the thought of getting swarmed in one of these is pretty triggering

one other thing:  No Rammer means that you can go ahead and use GLD and V-stabs along with vents.  All of this seems necessary because that gun needs all of the help it can get.  It doesn't rock around like some of the German tanks and it is capable of decent accuracy, but the aim time is kind of slow on the 100 anyway.  I anticipate the IX and X will be pretty much the same.

Alrite this thing is hilariously OP.  The only debilitating factor is that you may end up with a team that hides and in that case you're boned.  I had one where an Ru and some other medium decided to snipe even while the enemy controlled two caps.  Normally in these situations I try to develop the situation but as expected this thing is awful as a scout and really hard to be on the front line with.  So I guess if the tank has one weakness it's a lack of versatility, which is ironic because it can support meds or heavies just as well.

Analysis after actually playing it: French high tier tanks should be focused first, right after the Ebola 183.

I think this is the best tank in the line.  It's actually better than the tier 10 tank in almost every way that matters.  Fires faster, better dispersion, faster tank, better traverse, better terrain resistance.  I'd rather have it in a tier 10 match.  To play an autoloader well, the speed and manoverability is critical.
