It sad - everyone says the Comet is such a great tank.   Mine must be defective.

I do ok in the Cromwell - 158 games @ 55%; even better in the Cromwell B - 144 games @ 61%

But the Comet -- success eludes me.  88 games 48%.

I don't get it.

Obviously-

Boris

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

Abuse gun dep and mediocre turret armor. If a heavy pulls infront of your spot, relocate to a different flank

Boris,

Some elude me also. I give them a rest and come back later, sometimes it's for the better. The comet was one of those for me, 550 @56% now. The light went on for me when someone said peek-a-boom.

I had trouble with comet aswell. I had a pitiful 46% winrate after 50 battles. The thing about the comet is that its not a crommie, and you cant play it like a crommie. You dont have the speed to zip around the map at 60 something kph in a race car like the cromwell. The comet moves like, well, a normal tank. You have to stay behind front lines and press ridgelines, and load APCR if you see a heavy. You should only engage in upfront combat against low health targets that you can circle and out DPM. The great thing about the comet, you can out DPM any tank at that tier. Your turret is okay, but not too reliable against higher tiers. Flank whenever you wont take a shot or get spotted, and support your team. The tank can carry if need be, but it is fragile. Avoid kv-2's and su-152's, as they can pen some parts of ur front with HE. After playing like this, i ended up with an ok 52% winrate after 112 battles. i'll rebuy it and stat pad if need be.

 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Once maxed, I run mine with binocs, vstab, rammer.  Stay away from reds and scout - then find a weak one and DPM to death, try to work with an ally on a target.  Shell velocity is fairly low.  Bring lots of APCR.  Run superfuel.

Tanks:  _X: T110E5, T110E3, FV215b(183), IS-7, Obj.140  _IX: M103, T-54  _VIII: IS-6, T34, Lowe, T-44, IS-6, IS-3D  _VII: T-43, Comet, E25, AT-15A, SU-122-44
Usually on in the evenings Pacific time.  Intake Contact for Triarii Clan (PM for details)

I didn't do well in mine at first either, and it was the first tank I ever golded crew to 100% and researched all modules before I drove it.  Somewhere around 75-100 battles and it finally clicked.  It's no Cromwell, as stated.  DPM is the key, and reposition when you need to.

I should add that I haven't played mine so much since the Dracula and Helsing tanks flooded Tier VII.  That could be a factor.

I felt the same way Boris.  I just didn't get it.  Seems like once I got all of the upgrades, things have gotten better.  I agree with what others are saying - it's not the Cromwell and it just plays different.  Now I'm at 59% after 42 battles, so we'll see I guess.

Everyone has a tank that they are cursed in. Get your go out knowing you'll do better and don't be afraid of playing it. It is a great tank and what everyone else said before me lol

The Comet is excellent for flanking, the DPM combined with the good speed allows it to tear up sides and rears. It also has crippling depression, at an astounding -12 degrees. That lets the Comet work ridgelines better than iDubbz, who also has crippling depression. The mobility also allows the Comet to quickly take up forward positions and reposition with ease.

I have 2500 games in the comet and think it's one of the best tanks in the game. Remember crom and brom don't see is3d is6 ect. The armor is so so. The turret will bounce a lot if shots. Gun is not the most accurate. Your best bet is to find a ridge or hill and rain down the shots. It's not a bad brawler but I try limit brawling until end of game. The rof is amazing but you gotta load a ton of prammo for those Russian heavies. Good luck!

100 games played.  Still 48%.

I don't like this tank much.

You know, when I first got the comet, I was a noob. I didn't know that tanks had different amounts of gun depression!

my win rate was also 48 percent.

I may just be talking nonsense but I had a lot of trouble with the Cromwell at first, after watching some Bushka and reading articles I got a lot better with it and improved my WR in it by 15% in a day. I'd think it's the same with any tank, if you get used to it and gain a lot of knowledge about it's advantages and disadvantages, you can do really well with it.

Players who oppose DogFace can feel the cold, metallic, 122 millimeter end of my IS-6’s gun to

their face, and say bye bye to their precious RatBat as their dead body is dragged into a dark

corner to be left for the wolves.

It came up for anniversary today - and I tried ... really ... but I hate this POS

Watched a Bushka video on "gun depression" that featured the Comet - thought I'd give it another go.

I hate that tank.

Sorry to hear that, sometimes tank’s just don’t jive with people. I did well in my comet but struggle in others (particularly the British TDs), and sometimes that’s just the way it is.

I have a feeling you are not aggressive enough.

Push the red tanks harder and use the kit.
