Just had another one of these BOT guys ruin a game. Two high tiers, one serial AFK BOTTER + another guy who couldn't be bothered to play ... made it an auto-loss. Just a total waste of a battle. Steamroll loss. No fun. Lost credits.

Why are they allowed to ruin 1000 2000 4000 8000 games?

Why does it take weeks and months, and more than a dozen reports to shut these guys down?

A few complaints and a mere look at their record speaks volumes.

Why are the people in charge at WG not seeing what we are seeing???

4000 AFK games in 3 weeks.

7000 AFK Games in 2 months

8000 games?

If WG doesn't do anything with a 100k game bot.  What makes you think they will do anything about a 8k bot?

While the botting issue haven't really been discussed on NA til recently.  It has been going on Asia for the last 2 years, and the conclusion is that WG will only pay lip service to the issue.  No real action will be under taken.  Also look at the WoT PC botting situation, its pretty similar there.  Bots keeps the player pool numbers up, bots frequently buy premium tanks and time to make botting faster/easier, and there is just little incentive for WG to bring the hammer down hard.

Maybe they can get the guy that used to deal with chat related tickets to start going through all of the player stats and deleting the bots!

AFK players are truly the most overlooked issue in blitz. Unlike the fearless being sold in the gift shop, this actually effects game play. Now, AFK team mates are nothing new to blitz. In fact they've been around since the start of the game. Someone would have thought more effective methods of preventing this would have been added after 2 1/2 years, though it does truly take an extensive period of time to remove these consistently AFK players. I don't mean going AFK once should get anyone banned. Even the most dedicated of blitz players will probably have gone AFK at least once. I'm talking about players like the ones listed above. WG should add some sort of compensation for players with an AFK team mate. Maybe increased credit gain for the battle? They should also give out short bans for going AFK. For example, if a player goes AFK once, they get an in game notification warning them about going AFK. The second time could be a half an hour ban. Players consecutively going AFK should get bans going as high up as two days. It's quite astonishing that people seem to care more about an is-6 with extra paint than players consistently unbalancing battles. It's time WG took action and did something about this.

It has to be  habitual afk'ers. once or twice isn't enough. If the player is like the afore mentioned above. they would go afk every other game. These are the type of players that need account bans.

If the NA system is anything like Asia's.  Reporting is all but useless.

https://wotblitz.asi...nti-afk-policy/

https://wotblitz.asi...nti-afk-policy/

To file a report you need to screen shot the AFK bots standing still at spawn at different times, this is all but impossible since you will be playing your own game and not sitting at spawn and to see whether a team mate will move or not.  Then there are bots that will randomly move and shoot, so if you screen shot, they will not be at the same spot at different times.  Therefore "NOT" AFK.

Then people need to file 3 reports / 3 different occasions of botting to get the guy permanently banned.  This might be doable if naming and shaming was allowed and people can easily tell who is botting and who is just got disconnected.  But nope, you have to rely on a handful of people in the know, people that know who is a bot before the game starts and proactively monitors and screen shot the bots for the reports.  So whats is the chances of this happening on a large scale?  Most bots would just get by un-noticed and un-reported.  E.g. this system is just lip service and nothing more.

The easist way to identify bots is from their stats, crazy number of games that no humans can achieve, and a near zero dmg.  But nope, this ain't evidence.  Playing 24/7 for a month?  Nah, not a bot.

The reporting by players is not the issue ...

Some have been reported with screenshots dozens of times ...

The systems might be different, but the end intention is the same.  Paying lip service, and lip service only.

I echo the sentiments about AFK "players". We've had more games ruined by being short a tank throughout the game than I care to remember. Just came off of another one. Please DO something.
