I was one of the lucky winners of the AMX CDC and I wonder how to play this... I only have went up to tier 5 with my tanks until today... I do not know how to play this tank... I want to help my tanking career with this bundle of armored joy...

I love my Tiger P :playing:

If you don't have a standard tier VIII tank you shouldn't play the CDC. I don't have it but I'm pretty sure it plays like a light tank, which is probably the hardest class to play at the high tiers.

But if you insist, play it passive since you don't have any armor to use and a lot of people will shoot HE at you. Use your good mobility on your advantage to get on key positions and outspot the enemy. Use your good gun depression and work ridges.

Play it like a huge scaredy cat and never face anyone head-on because you'll probably lose. No armor and average dpm.

If you think you're going to lose run for it.

Or alternatively, gift it to me :v

The AMX CDC is a tricky tank to play with but its fun.

Given the fact that this utterly has no armor, you'll have to keep moving all the time. I use mine primarily in a support role. I go along with other heavies and mediums and just stay behind them and act as fire support.

But if you're adventurous like me, I sometimes use mine as a scout since it's got that speed and maneuverability. Just don't get into any 1 on 1 fights with tanks on the same tier that has more armor than you. You can also do flanking tactics or hit and run with this thing, but then again, your size pretty much gives you away.

The gun is pretty amazing for its tier and that's one of its strong points. It's decently accurate but I wouldn't use this to snipe. It's most effective from close to mid range and has good penetration.

This is just my opinion at least since this is my favorite premium tank.

Play it like a really mobile tank destroyer. It's no Dracula, that's for sure.

Pop your turret over ridges and try to get a spot or hang behind meds and help them out at a distance. You're a sniper. You cannot trade hits (you will die first, I promise you), you will not bounce, and you're the size of a small yacht, so stay behind hard cover and stay camouflaged. You might feel cowardly at first, but when you're consistently getting got top damage at the end of matches, it won't matter.

Have fun with it, it's a great tank.

quick edit: Something I do often is push other TD's and heavies into the engagements. It'll help to give the enemy something heftier and scarier to shoot at than yourself. This tank does well with teams that know how to hold a line so you can flank with ease.

While it is extremely difficult to play, what it excels at is flanking and maneuvering. Use these traits to your advantage, and never hitpoint trade under any circumstances.

dont get shot

don't try to brawl.

be cheeky and annoying.

dont get shot

use your map to get on the sides of the red tanks, you dont need to go all the way around.

dont get shot.

best of luck to you on the battlefield m8

don't give up on the cdc, the lessons you will hopefully learn from it will make you a better tanker no matter what you drive.

Don't be surprised if your team wins the battle but your CDC is destroyed. I have played with CDCs in my team and against CDCs and only once saw a CDC survive the battle.

current meta for CDC is to YOLO over to Red spawn and spot their whole team while dying instantly.

I would recommend NOT doing that.

pretty sure you mean TDs, not heavies. Oh wait, that's light tanks.

i have Ave had a really bad run of mediums and lights who absolutely refuse to spot. Playing afk. Camping spawn, or literally just parking next to a friendly TD. Grinding the French heavies it is so frustrating that I've considered giving up one of my equipment shots for binocs. Red team spots, green team doesn't, red team wins over and over again.

this tank is useless in WoTB. In console and PC, they have MUCH bigger maps, and more mountains (and no dracs...). The CDC has the best Horsepower to ton ratio. And can climb very high hills. Buttttttttt.... there arent big hills so... its kinda useless

I gotta say that this tank is excellent but good practice for the Leopard 1.  I would recommend running it a lot if you want to go that line.

It is far from useless.  This tank is excellent and able to pen the turret hatches of heavies all day.  Just embrace the sniper style with it!

also plt with a normal medium for impressive gains
