Granted I've only played in a couple thousand matches but after the last update the matchmaker is making this game nearly unplayable.  Every game is the same and has been since the last patch, one team is wiped out and the other team might have lost one tank.  I understand that skill levels can be radically different but before the last patch my wins were right around 50% but now since the last patch i'm closer to 40%.  It makes for an entirely unfun game when you know exactly how the game is going to end before it even starts.

Nihilism

 

The MM is bad for everyone, inept or not. This is nothing new despite the recent patch. I've found playing during non peak hours yields more carries and golden M's.

Same some games I sick, some I don,t.

Typically good 5% more than bad.

I'm right there with you man. The last couple weeks especially. I'm usually not one to complain about the teams, but if you're the top performer for every loss, then what else could it be?

Matchmaking is good enough. My wr went from 55.8 to 56.6

Matchmaking is fine. Perhaps you don't contribute much yourself to the team consistently

You aren't carrying your own weight so you can't blanket the matchmaking system when you yourself can barely manage to do more than 2 shots worth of damage.

It's probably just an unlucky streak, because my stats had been doing nothing but climbing for a couple of months, and I never gave the MM a second thought. But lately idk if it's like the MM version of RNG or what, but my teams are getting wrecked even when I put out multi thousand damage games, and my stats have been declining for a week str8! ugh. I hope my luck changes soon. I don't deserve this lol

I will return to the topic in a moment.  When I saw the topic, I though it was an idea for setting up dates through the game.  I was WRONG.

I MM might work better than people give it credit.  It is not perfect.  The one thing that causes my statistics to plummet is when players just put a tank in for the free experience points.  Lopsided battles are difficult.  Look at the detailed result for the battle.  It might dumbfound you.  Battles that will be lost are the other problem.  Once this happens, the human usually thinks "Bother.  I can just start a new battle.  I will leave."  Again, the result are skewed.  That assumes the battle began with 7 vs 7 actively fighting tanks.

The above paragraph assumes the player battling actually does a good job.  If I know my tank will be destroyed, I do every bit of damage that I possibly can first.

Within the last two weeks I have seen some of the worst gameplay I have ever seen since I started playing this game. Within less than four days I lost an entire percentage point even though I almost always deal out the most damage with the most kills and I'm top tank going into the match. I believe the matchmaker is designed in these matches to predict that I will carry the game despite the fact that I almost always have at least three teammates who do less then 100 damage ( very often 0 ). The likelihood that I can carry such a game decreases with ascending tiers. I recently bought the super Persh. and have only won 30% of the 10 games I played in which I mastered it twice and was always top damage.  Really? No longer fun. Will not be playing another game until next update. Come on Wargaming.

I share the frustration of others who find the MM one-sided and, yes, rigged. Too many games have lopsided outcomes. Too often Green Team shots fail to kill while Red Team shots hit their targets with deadly accuracy. Better play? Maybe, but the weight of the evidence suggests otherwise. This game is supposed to be fun and competitive, and it's rapidly heading in the opposite direction.

I am sure some do profit from the Poor Matching system. Would it be otherwise? But I don't think it should come down to that chance, allotment, or shall we call it algorithmically determined arrangement of supposed random players grouped by "tank specs" as I was told by Wargaming. If I were to keep playing there would be a chance things would improve. But I don't want to play a dice game. I want to play a strategy game. And when I have a NON team that yolos it turns into a first person shooter game. Pass. They could improve the matching but would gain nothing monetarily as a major source of there income are casual players that probably don't care what their WR is. Lucky You. Hope it lasts. Hope that dice roll keeps on Working​. After all every time one takes a shot there is a %chance calculated for a miss just like a game of chance. After you play enough games this becomes obvious. You could have your aiming circle filled with 90% tank but there will still be that occasionally lovely miss. More often at times than others.

The match making has gotten worse because war gaming is failing because of their catering to gold. So instead of correcting that they are going after making the money spenders happy by giving them a even bigger advatage. Basicaly they know they have alienated average players and looking for the final payday before no one plays this game anymore.
