Good medium premium tank. The armor profile works well and angled it's a bounce producer.

Its worth picking it up when the price is right.

Tier 10's: FV 183, T110E3, T110E4, T110E5, T57, Patton M48, IS-4, IS-7, T-62a, Obj 140

There is only one TD, and 183 is her name.

I hate mine.    I struggle with its lack of gun depression.  It is slower than I like.  I dont get as many bounces as others.

I think the tank is probably good - but only if you are an exceptional driver.

I'm a bad driver - so this tank is bad -- bad bad bad.

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

Don't buy it if you already have the mod 1 as you won't get it but you'll get the rest of the bundle +7500 more gold.

It is a fabulous tank, and the Tier 8 I prefer to run during Clan Wars.

It's a medium tank with heavy tank upper plate.  Use it accordingly -- angle it and use it as a corner fighter....or a brawler.

It doesn't have the best gun, but it sets itself apart by using its armor to bounce shells.

Great tank - medium with somewhat sluggish mobility. but that's because it has a GREAT armour profile. Keep wiggling and watch IS-6s bounce off your upper glacis. An important addition to any serious garage - get it if you can!

$35 though, hard to justify it. You get some gold and decent premium time but still. If it was just the tank for $20 I would probably go for it.

If you don't have the Type 59, I would spend the dough to get it.  I like a medium with some armor to it, but the trade off will always be the quickness.  Just ask the SuperPershing...

Good luck!

I love the t54 proto. I do exceptionally well in mine, i don't mine trading some of the mobility for armor, it really fun when fighting a 1v3 an you come out on top. This tank can do that if played right and knowing your enemy.

It is a really good tank.  People paid 50 for the type 59 so I think 35 bucks for the mod 1 is a great deal.

It has more side armor than a Lowe and sidescrapes like a boss.

amazing upper frontal plate

great traverse. This helps swat away shots with quick angling.

Same gun as the t44 which has excellent alpha but meh dpm.  You take up similar positions as a t54 so if you like the t54 this will be a comfortable adjustment.  This tank is a bully and can hold strong points exceptionally well.

The T-54 mod 1 has to be the best tier 8 premium medium tank.

I own the Type 59, Superpershing, O-47, Panther 8,8, AMX CDC, and FCM.

Out of all these tier 8 medium premium tanks the T-54 mod 1 is my favorite.

Wish I could say I enjoy it.  My win rate is decent in it, but my Star1 is bad, and I haven't figured out how to increase it.

I dont really like tanks that has great hull armor but paper turret armor. You should be aware that you can't use hull down efficiently and its got a somewhat larger turret.
