I'm going to step onto the Bot Bandwagon for a moment. Had a run-in with a particular wet dog this morning.

This player is obviously an AFK/bot player. There is simply no way to deny this Wargaming.

 

Is this the type of player that you want interacting with your player base?

 

Does a player like this encourage other players to play the game?

 

Does a player like this encourage other players to spend money on the game?

 

Wargaming, as a concerned customer I'm going to make this as blunt and to the point as I possibly can. Get your​ [edited]together. Fix this issue.

If there had been a non-botter in his place, they would have won for sure.

My team had a combined HP pool of less then 500 at the end of that game.

why is he in a clan? I tried to message the clan leader of XO a few days a go and got a very hostile response. Same thing when I asked him why COLORED STONE was in there. Awful clan

Clan discount supply for cheaper repairs? What purpose does botting serve? I mean he is losing creds?

Never noticed they were in the same clan.  And I recognize a few of the other members too

It's actually Apple testing there self driving car AI program. 

And let's just say they are not trying to design a AI that kills.

Maybe 10 threads in the past 2 weeks and even more support tickets sent in. I think WG is trying not to discriminate against their blitz player base they have groomed. Any competent player though how little there are would totally agree that its a detriment Afker. But the sad thing is that he is not the worst so they cannot quantify what is a bot and whats an average player.

The bot issue happens when someone decides to use an automated tank control program of some kind. They basically get their tanks into games to farm minimal amounts of credits, XP, and Free XP from large numbers of games in which they don't really participate. With a bot program, you can run games all day long without any human interaction at all. Botters don't care about wins, losses, damage done, kills, or anything else, which seriously impairs the real players who wind up with them on their team.

 

That impairment has a significant effect on players (botting isn't a victimless crime), because every human on the team is fighting a 6-on-7 battle without realizing it. Every human on the team is likely to lose credits, score less XP, get a lower WR. Also, anyone who happens to be on the non-bot team gets a boost. If you think about one-seventh (about 14%) of your team not playing, imagine how everyone in the game would respond if they were told their tanks were going to be nerfed by 14%.

 

Bot programs are getting increasingly sophisticated. They now simulate in-game behavior beyond random moving and shooting, respond to sighted enemy tanks, and respond to the presence of friendly tanks.

I guess if a bot moves and fires, he's just considered "skills-challenged" by WG rather than as a bot and appropriately punished.

Yeah, and the detection is self-defeating over time. If WG decided to identify bots based on tanks that drove .1km or less during a battle, the bot developers would set their bots to drive .2km. If they decided to identify bots based on tanks that fired no more than once per battle, they'd set the bots to fire twice. The only way to effectively sort it out is to identify and track extremely poor and consistent in-game performance and player reports. 

 

They don't allow transfers of credits and XP between accounts, but at least theoretically there could be a market for WoT accounts. So there could be a financial incentive for bot players to do this - although I can only imagine the complaints after they sell an account to someone with these kinds of entrenched poor stats and tens of thousands of games.

I did. He received a three-day suspension, it appears.  You can search YouTube under my game name pa60 pilot to see it.

I saw him a few times then switched to same device mode and have not seen him since. These issues started when WG opened up Blitz to PC. I submitted a ticket to WG and they did nothing. One of the many reasons why I do not play or spend as much anymore.  They are just killing this game.
