Heya Tankers - 

 

We are discussing the plans for April's tournament schedule and there is an opportunity to adjust the time of the tournaments. We wanted to get your input on it as well.

 

The first few tournaments will still take place at the current time - but we are open to adjusting the rest of them to better fit the schedule of you guys!

I'm on the East Coast and later times would help our West Coast clan members.

5:30 - 7:00 PM is a ideal time. Some people are at work at earlier times (and school). Its a much better time for many peoples schedules.

Sly, we have guys across the country, as well as around the world... we can work around any timing that is set up. That shouldn't be an issue. A little later may be a good all around compromise. However, is there a way to pre-plan so those tournaments don't occur on the same day as a software update? That right there seems to exponentially increase the stress of making it in game in time for my west coast clan mates.

I would also suggest consistent days so we can plan properly. E.g. Every other Thursday. Or every Wednesday. 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings. Something predictable.

We are working on getting a mobile friendly calendar thing we can embed on a page that can list all the tournaments.

 

We are also looking at having tournaments much more regularly and on set days. So I can say on 4/12 - we will have 3 Tournaments running - Bronze level - Varying Tiers.

My east coast clan members would be unable to play that late in the evening, also a later time would not be good. The current times or maybe a little later would be good though.

We should get a keyboard friendly calendar as well

That will help, but having a consistent, predictable schedule would be best. Just like physical sports which has games "every Saturday morning" or "every other Thursday night".

I'd say later, the 6-7:30 PM slot (9-10:30 PM on east coast) sounds fine.

 

More west coast players can join in, and 10:30 PM isn't an unreasonable time for East Coast

I'm on the west coast sly, commuting time for me is 5:00 pm and I won't leave work early just for a tournament, a clan wars match sure, but, not a tournament ...  Perhaps it's better to schedule them on weekends?

8 PM Central would be ideal.  Not too late for East coasters and would give west coast players a chance to get home.

That's what I've Ben sing since the tournaments started; they're just too early in the evening, for me at least.  The "Later" time frame I think would be much more ideal.

I'm west coast. Can't play a tournament while at work or driving home. Anytime 6:00pm or later would be great.

I'm mountain time and later would work better for me.  I have already missed quit a few due to the times.

I prefer 9 am to 12 pm .

The current schedule is fine  he times are good, maybe another hour later than the current ones would be perfect. The set day thing is also a great idea.

Almost every clan wars battle I've been in has been set up for times between 9pm Central and 11:30pm Central. 

Earlier battle times eliminate those of us old guys that actually work 8-5 Monday thru Friday and need an hour to get home and an hour to eat. 

Maybe an hour for "honey do" items, and we're already at 9pm but those are a must to clear up prior to gaming unless you want FaceTime calls that interrupt games...
